A UFC icon has made a massive prediction for Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall, claiming the interim title challenger is capable of taking the heavyweight throne.
With so many physical attributes, the legend believes the interim champion can overcome the American’s technical prowess.

Dan Hardy believes Tom Aspinall can beat Jon Jones
Of all the potential fights that can be made in mixed martial arts, Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall is possibly the most captivating of them all.
The potential match-up would pit one of the greatest of all time with unrivaled creativity, against a wrecking machine, capable of destroying any opponent who dares set foot in the cage with him.
With that in mind, the world is desperate to find out who would come out on top. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Dan Hardy is intrigued by the fight.
While he’s more than aware of Jones’ class, he cannot help but edge towards his countryman to get the job done.
WOW: The incredible amount of money Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury are making for their rematch
In an interview exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow, the PFL Head of Fighter Operations in Europe, said: “I think right now he’s deserving of a shot and I think he’s got so much momentum behind him he’s fully prepared and capable of shocking the world.
“A lot of people would expect Jon Jones to be too much for him technically, but I still don’t feel like Jones has fully grown into his heavyweight frame.
“He was lighter against Stipe Miocic than he was against Ciryl Gane. He looked in better shape, of course, but that shape was much closer to light-heavyweight, whereas Tom Aspinall weighed-in as an alternative at 254 pounds, or something like that. He’s lean, fast and powerful. He’s got a well-rounded game.
“Jon Jones certainly has the skills and technical ability to beat Tom Aspinall, but especially in the heavyweight division, speed and power can be the equalizer in any fight, and I think Tom has that in abundance.
“So, I would lean towards Tom Aspinall. I do hope he gets the chance, and I also hope Jon Jones gets paid his worth for it. That seems to be the major sticking point.
“I saw Jake Paul weighed-in at how much he should be making, $50 million or something, but even if he gets half that, something that he could go away and retire on, and not feel like he’s been thrown to the wolves at the end of his career, I think that would be good to all parties involved.”
