A heavyweight title unification fight between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall is potentially the most desired fight amongst the UFC fanbase.
Following Jon Jones‘ successful title defense against Stipe Miocic at UFC 309, fans once again called for a unification fight against Tom Aspinall next.
Initially, Jones wasn’t into the idea of fighting the interim champion and claimed that he would retire if he wasn’t able to fight Alex Pereira instead.
Despite that, the consensus GOAT has since changed his tune, and UFC CEO, Dana White, recently provided an update on the likelihood of that fight happening, stating that he is 100% confident it will.

Curtis Blaydes backs Tom Aspinall to finish Jon Jones early
Despite winning the interim title last year, Aspinall knew he would likely have to wait for the culmination of Jones vs Miocic before realizing a unification bout.
Instead of sitting out inactive for over a year, the Brit decided to join a small group of fighters by defending his interim title in a rematch against Curtis Blaydes.
‘Razor’ Blaydes became Aspinall’s latest victim to fall in the first round, with the 31-year-old maintaining his record as the fighter with the lowest average time in the Octagon.
Having felt Aspinall’s power inside the cage, Blaydes has given his prediction of how he sees a fight between Jones and Aspinall going, stating that he thinks Aspinall will finish the fight early.
“Yeah (I think Aspinall will beat Jones), I will pick him,” Blaydes told Sportskeeda.

“I think one area where Tom can win, is just presence inside. Jon Jones gets away with standing in front of his opponent and just pawing and picking at the inside, leg kicks, and teeps, I don’t think Aspinall will allow him to hang out at that range, I think he’s gonna be blitzing him, in and out.
“I think on one of those in-and-outs, he’s gonna be able to catch him. He definitely has the speed. I think he’ll get on the inside of the range and land an overhand, and it’ll probably be early… So yeah, I think it’ll happen early,” Blaydes continued.
Jon Jones mocks Colby Covington following his recent loss
Whilst enjoying his time outside of the Octagon, Jones has decided to rip into his long-standing rival, Colby Covington.
The two used to be close friends when they were roommates with each other at college, but as does happen with most of Covington’s relationships with fighters, it turned bitter.
This past Saturday, Covington returned to action and was brutally beaten by Joaquin Buckley, which left Jones pleased.
The UFC heavyweight champion took to X to rip into Covington, mocking him for making the excuse that he wasn’t prepared for his fight because he was helping Donald Trump with his election campaign.
