Oleksandr Usyk vs Tyson Fury 2: Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and more predict heavyweight rematch

Boxing stars old and new are sharing their picks for Oleksandr Uysk vs Tyson Fury 2.

The heavyweight duo will rematch at the Kingdom Arena in Ridyah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

In May, they clashed in a historic bout to crown the first-ever four-belt heavyweight champion. Oleksandr Usyk scored a ninth-round knockdown en route to a split-decision victory to set up a mammoth rematch with Tyson Fury.

The boxing community is divided about who will take home the WBO, WBA, and WBC titles this weekend.

Mike Tyson leads long list of legends excited about Usyk vs Fury 2

Mike Tyson: “Usyk is the best heavyweight in the world at the moment. But I’m going for Fury to beat him. Why? Because I’m a fan. Because his father gave him my name. I’m not abandoning him now.”

Lennox Lewis: “I cannot go against Usyk. Oleksandr Usyk has proven himself time and time again, and he’s still undefeated. It really comes down to who boxes the best. Who’s smart in the ring. I didn’t think Tyson Fury was smart in the first fight.

“I think [Fury] played around a little bit too much and allowed Oleksandr Usyk to really pile up the points. Oleksandr Usyk is a difficult opponent. He moves all the time, he’s always throwing punches, he’s in great shape, and that’s hard to beat.”

Anthony Joshua: “I think it’s going to be a tough fight early on and then I feel like Usyk will edge it again. He’s a class operator and I feel like Usyk’s one of the best out there. That’s why I think he’ll win.”

Daniel Dubois: “I’m still backing Fury. I hope our man does it. Usyk is capable. Fury should jump on him and smother him. Fury is a slick boxer too, but it will be a great fight and I’ll be out there calling on to fight the winner.”

Derek Chisora: “[Usyk] is still the same, bro. It’s gonna be a good fight, we’re gonna see a little bit of difference, but you have to understand Tyson will come a little bit different, but Usyk will come a little bit different [as well]. But as the scales hit right now, my money’s still edging on Usyk.”

Joseph Parker: “I think Tyson’s mindset has changed coming into this fight. I feel that if you have a different mindset, that can bring a lot of changes. I believe Tyson can beat Usyk on a points decision, but it’s a tough one. I’m siding with Tyson, but I think it’s a points decision.”

Michael Moorer: “I think Usyk will stop him. Probably in the 10th or 11th round, I think Usyk will win.

Oscar De La Hoya: “I really see this fight as a 50/50 fight, but I have to give Tyson Fury the edge.”

Zhilei Zhang: “The same result. I believe that Usyk will use his boxing skills and ring IQ. You know, skill pays the bill. He’s a great warrior.”

Tyson Fury’s big sacrifice ahead of Oleksandr Usyk rematch

Tyson Fury recently revealed that he’s left no stone unturned as he tries to bounce back from his first career defeat.

The 34-1-1 Englishman claims he hasn’t spoken to his wife or seen his children during fight camp.

“I’ll end his career, this will be, you’ll never hear about Oleksandr Usyk again after this,” Fury said.

“It’s been a long camp, haven’t seen my wife and kids in 3 months.

“I haven’t spoken to [my wife] at all in 3 months. Not one word, sacrificed a lot. But it’ll all be worth it. 100 percent.”
