Conor McGregor’s potential fight with Logan Paul was predicted four years ago.
On Tuesday, the former dual-weight UFC champion shocked the world when he took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to reveal he’s ‘in preliminary agreements’ for his comeback bout.
‘Notorious’ hasn’t fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021 – but he’s been calling for a return date all year.
However, he’s now claimed that he will take a boxing exhibition bout against YouTuber-turned-WWE star Logan Paul, who thought he was on the verge of knocking out Floyd Mayweather when they clashed three years ago.

Conor McGregor vs Logan Paul simulation
In 2020, one fan was already anticipating a future McGregor vs Paul fight.
So intrigued by the potential matchup, they created characters for the two men on the video game ‘Fight Night Champion’ and had them duke it out in a simulated bare-knuckle boxing match.
It predicted what many fans expect will happen if one of the UFC’s most decorated fighters steps into the boxing ring with a novice.
The fight started with Paul trying to impose his size advantage and landing a few eye-catching shots – but they didn’t bother his opponent who remained light on his feet.
McGregor landed the first meaningful punch of the match when he connected with an overhand left that had Paul badly wobbled against the ropes.
One follow-up dig was all it took to floor the 29-year-old internet celebrity.
McGregor focused on body shots when the fight recommenced. The Irishman hammered away down low and occasionally came up top to land clean shots on the jaw of his overmatched rival.
Paul was missing wildly with his shots. Eventually, McGregor caught him with another overhand left, which was almost identical to the one that helped the UFC legend score his first knockdown.
This time, instead of continuing to attack upstairs, McGregor dropped down to deliver a body punch that left Paul rolling around the floor in agony and unable to beat the count.
McGregor by dominant first-round knockout was the official simulation result.
Only time will tell if Paul will be able to put up a better fight when they meet in the ring for real.
Jake Paul reacts to Conor McGregor potentially fighting his brother
Jake Paul has been calling for a fight with Conor McGregor ever since he got into boxing.
‘The Problem Child’ was quick to react to the news McGregor may face his brother in 2025.
Mike Tyson’s comeback opponent claimed that ‘Mystic Mac’ had been trying to organize a fight with him before insisting that’s not something he wants to do unless UFC boss Dana White is involved.
“Now it all makes sense why Conor McGregor and his management team have been desperately trying to get MVP to negotiate for a fight between us,” Jake Paul wrote on X to his 4.7million followers.
“As we told them privately & I’m now saying it publicly… The only way we’re willing to explore me vs Conor in a pro boxing / MMA fight is if Dana White / UFC are at the table directly or make it clear they are ok with discussions.
“Conor is washed. Needs the Paul’s. Logan by however he wants.”
