This Saturday at UFC Tampa, highly rated flyweight contender Manel Kape finished Bruno Silva in the third round, demanding he’s given a title shot.
Since joining the UFC in 2021, UFC fans have been extremely hopeful that Manel Kape can realize success in the premier promotion, but he has consistently come up just short.
After a disappointing performance and build-up to his last fight against Muhammad Mokaev, Kape needed to return to winning ways at UFC Tampa to stay in title contention.

Manel Kape has a conversation with Dana White mid-fight as he demands a title shot
Immediately in round one, ‘Starboy’ came out showcasing the skills that he has only shown glimpses of up until this point.
The Angolan let his striking go early and was connecting on Silva consistently, causing the Brazilian problems from the get-go.
Coming out into round two, Kape was feeling even more confident and that was showing in his performance, with it being one of his best under the UFC banner.
Despite that, he was halted in the second round after absorbing three horrendous low blows, which resulted in a point deduction for Silva, making the mountain even taller for him to climb.
During the interval between rounds two and three, ‘Starboy’ decided to have an impromptu conversation with UFC CEO, Dana White, as he began to demand a flyweight title shot from the UFC boss.
His call for a title shot was given more grounds after he finally scored the finish over Silva in round three after a barrage of heavy strikes as the Brazilian cowered against the cage.
Manel Kape doubles down on title demand as he slams several fighters
Immediately after scoring the KO win, Kape ran straight back over to White and began having another conversation with him.
The 31-year-old could be heard telling the UFC boss that he ‘needs a title shot’ and that he doesn’t ever ask for anything.
Flyweight champion, Alexandre Pantoja, successfully defended his title earlier this month against Kai Asakura, and he is seemingly running out of fighters to defend his title against. Pantoja and Kape have already met once before, in Kape’s UFC debut back in 2021, with Pantoja picking up the decision win.
Despite that, all signs point to ‘The Cannibal’ defending his title against Kai Kara-France next, which is something that doesn’t sit right with Kape.
“F*ck Kai Kara-France, f*ck (Brandon) Moreno, f*ck (Israel) Adesanya, I’m the next one against Pantoja, there are levels to this sh*t,” Kape said in his Octagon interview.
“I can destroy Pantoja, so Dana, put me in a fight against Pantoja because I’m the PPV star at flyweight, no one can be like me, no one dresses like me, no one is (more) beautiful than me, I’m perfect,” he continued.
