Joe Rogan has one question about Tom Aspinall heading into 2025.
The interim UFC heavyweight champion has looked nothing short of spectacular during his run to the top, which has included quick stoppage wins over Curtis Blaydes, Sergei Pavlovich, and Alexander Volkov.
Tom Aspinall is expected to take on Jon Jones next after the greatest of all time defended the true heavyweight title by knocking out Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 on November 16.
Fan predictions for the eagerly anticipated champion vs champion matchup are already rolling in. Still, Joe Rogan is simply curious about what will happen if the Englishman is extended beyond the five-minute mark after his incredible run of first-round finishes.

Joe Rogan raves about Tom Aspinall
Joe Rogan has been massively impressed by Tom Aspinall’s UFC run.
The 31-year-old has never been to the third round during his 15-3 professional MMA career, and the UFC commentator is excited to see what will happen if Jon Jones can survive his early onslaught.
“God, I hope they fight,” Rogan said during a recent episode of his podcast.
“I wanna know [what would happen]. Here’s the question with Aspinall. What happens to Aspinall in the second round?
“If you wanna talk about a guy who sprints. If you wanna talk about a guy who is fast-twitch, Aspinall might be the fastest heavyweight in the history of the sport.
“I don’t think anybody moves like that guy does. At a 250lb+ frame, his movement is extraordinary, and that’s something you have to deal with. That is a crazy ability. His ability to move the way he moves is so much different to everybody else in the sport.
“Hand speed and full range of skills. Incredible standup knocks guys out with one punch, black belt in Jui-Jitsu, really good wrestler. He has everything and he’s young.”
Joe Rogan can’t bet against Jon Jones
Despite talking up Tom Aspinall, Joe Rogan stopped short of backing him to give Jon Jones his first proper taste of defeat – his lone MMA loss came via DQ in a 2009 fight he was dominating.
The popular podcaster refuses to back against ‘Bones’ after watching his rise to the top and hearing stories about how he’s handled heavyweight sparring partners through the years.
Rogan added: “It’s hard to bet against Jon.
“But Jon is not a real heavyweight. Jon could make light heavyweight, 100 percent. He weighs 230lbs right now, maybe a little less than 230lbs. There’s no doubt in my mind that if Jon changed his diet… he hasn’t put that much mass on that you would say 205lbs is out of reach.
“Look, he always had the reputation of f***ing all the heavyweights up at Jackson-Winklejohn. When Brendan went down and trained with him, Brendan was a heavyweight, Brendan Schaub, was like, ‘He f***ed me up’.
“He goes, ‘Dude, I was like top 10 in the world as a heavyweight, I thought I was the s*** and he f***ed me up!’ He goes, ‘He beat my a** and he beat everybody else’s a** too’.
“All the other heavyweights, rag-dolled them too, he’s just a freak.”
