UFC star Sean O’Malley and Snoop Dogg reunited while both were in attendance at UFC 310 last weekend in Las Vegas.
Sean O’Malley and Snoop Dogg are on different paths in life and with their respective careers. But seven years ago, their paths crossed when O’Malley fought for a chance at a UFC contract on Dana White’s Contender Series.
Before O’Malley became one of the biggest stars in the UFC, he had to fight and claw for a chance at the UFC spotlight with Dana White cage side. He faced Alfred Khashakyan on DWCS in 2017, finishing Khashakyan in the first round with a one-punch knockout.
Backstage, Snoop Dogg was on commentary alongside UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber for the ‘Snoopcast’ simulcast. As O’Malley landed the knockout blow, Snoop Dogg’s hilarious reaction to O’Malley’s win went wild online.
O’Malley’s victory, along with Snoop Dogg’s lively endorsement, made him a household name before he made his promotional debut. Seven years later, O’Malley is one of the biggest draws in the UFC, and Snoop Dogg is a major part of his rise to prominence.
Sean O’Malley and Snoop Dogg are cemented in UFC lore
While both attended UFC 310 in Las Vegas last weekend, O’Malley and Snoop Dogg met up backstage and shared a friendly dialogue. O’Malley caught their entire interaction on his YouTube channel, which you can view below.
O’Malley is looking to get back on track inside the Octagon after a loss to Merab Dvalishvili for the UFC bantamweight title at UFC 306. He’s targeting an early 2025 return against the Dvalishvili vs. Umar Nurmagomedov winner.
Dvalishvili and Nurmagomedov co-headline UFC 311 next month, as the lead-up to the lightweight main event between Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan. O’Malley will likely earn another title shot upon his return.
Snoop Dogg is an avid UFC and combat sports fan and has attended several high-profile cards this year. He also trains in boxing, and his kids have proven themselves to be elite athletes.

Just one fight into his UFC tenure, O’Malley got the boost up to UFC pay-per-view cards, partly due to Snoop Dogg’s fandom and his vintage knockout power. He won his first four UFC outings before a TKO loss to Marlon Vera at UFC 252.
After a six-fight unbeaten streak, O’Malley climbed the bantamweight mountain by finishing Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title at UFC 292. He’d go on to successfully defend the belt against Vera before suffering the defeat to Dvalishvili.
O’Malley believes he was robbed on the judges’ scorecards at UFC 306 despite the majority of fans feeling Dvalishvili deserved the win. If Dvalishvili wins at UFC 311, O’Malley has the opportunity to prove that UFC 306 might’ve been a fluke performance.
When O’Malley makes his return walkout to the cage, Snoop Dogg could potentially be in attendance to watch the fighter he helped blossom. While O’Malley’s accomplishments speak for themselves, Snoop Dogg had a hand in catapulting his spotlight.
