While Colby Covington is one of the most ruthless trash talkers in MMA history, even he claims there are some things he won’t make fun of.
The American has utilized his gift of the gab to make himself one of the biggest names in the welterweight division. However, on occasion, fans have accused him of taking things too far.

Colby Covington has never shied away from controversy, once leaving fans appalled with a jibe he made at Leon Edwards’ father ahead of UFC 296.
At the press conference, ‘Chaos’ mocked the Brit’s father, who passed away while the mixed martial artist was just 13-years-old.
However, while many fans were left upset by the comments, Covington has stood by them, refusing to apologize for his remarks.
He’s now claimed there are only two things he’d never use to verbally attack someone and explained the things the UFC wouldn’t tolerate.

In an interview with Patrick Bet David, he said: “You’ll definitely get a call at times if you’re racist or you go after someone’s religion. But I’d never go after those two things. I’ll expose things that need to be exposed because it’s the truth and it’s honesty.”
Discussing his comments about his old rival, he said: “You can look up the public records about his dad. And it’s not my fault, he’s the one that put him in the limelight in the first place and make it a sympathetic figure.”
