This past Friday at BKFC 69 in Atlanta, Georgia, the fastest KO in combat sports history was scored which left Conor McGregor speechless.
Continuing their successful 2024, BKFC touched down in Atlanta, Georgia, this past Friday for BKFC 69 which was main evented by bantamweights, Keith Richardson and Michael Larrimore.
Although the main event offering was what most fans were looking forward to, it was a featherweight fight on the prelims that stole the headlines.

Justin Watson reacts to scoring the fastest KO in combat sports history
Just four fights into the card, Justin Watson and Cole Ferrell squared off in a featherweight bout. Watson was coming into the fight off the back of two losses under the BKFC banner, with not much combat sports experience.
Ferrell on the other hand, has a pro MMA record of 11-1 and won his BKFC debut last May at BKFC 42 but none of that mattered coming into his fight against Watson.
As their featherweight bout began and the referee signaled the start of the fight, Watson immediately threw a right cross, landing flush on the chin of Ferrell with him faceplanting the ground.
Following the incredible KO, BKFC President, Dave Feldman was stood at the side of the ring with a stopwatch, showing that it happened in 2.9 seconds, setting a record for the fastest KO in combat sports history.
BKFC co-owner, Conor McGregor was also left stunned following the history-making KO, as he reacted to it online.
A few days removed from making history, Watson took to his Instagram to reveal a message he sent to his manager following the weigh-ins on Thursday.
“I pissed him off in the back. Lol,” Watson said in the first message.
“Get in his head. Throw him off the game plan,” his manager replied.
“That’s the idea baby. I have a plan to start the fight. If I land clean, I’m knocking him out off the line. I want that fastest KO record,” Watson stunningly replied.
Cole Ferrell breaks his silence after suffering the fastest KO in combat sports history
Whilst Watson is on top of the world after seeing his pre-fight prediction turn into reality, Ferrell will now be known for being the fighter on the wrong side of the fastest KO in combat sports history.
Despite that, the 32-year-old has attempted to stay in high spirits as he has broken his silence following the historic loss.
“It is what it is, guys. I have 0 lacerations, I passed all three concussion tests immediately after the fight in the back with the medical staff, I made well over six figures after sponsors and everything included, I’m blessed for that,” Ferrell explained in a video on his social media.
“I was in the middle of a weird moment, I didn’t know if we would tap knuckles, I don’t know why I thought that because there was a little animosity before the fight.
“Congratulations to him… This is the hurt business. I’m 11-1 in pro-MMA, I’ve had over 13-14 professional fights combined… We talk sh*t, we get hit… This is the fight game. I do believe I’ll get the rematch with him in the squared circle because why the hell wouldn’t he take it?
“Probably the easiest and fastest money he’s ever made. Fastest money I’ve ever made, just not in the way I wanted to make it,” Ferrell light-heartedly continued.
