Ciryl Gane storms out of Octagon before revealing injury after controversial win over Alexander Volkov

Ciryl Gane was left furious following his fight with Alexander Volkov, initially storming out of the octagon, before returning to claim he had suffered an injury.

The Frenchman received an extremely controversial split decision victory at UFC 310, inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Ciryl Gane was enraged following his victory over Alexander Volkov

Ciryl Gane just walked away from his fight with Alexander Volkov with another win on his record.

However, that doesn’t tell the full story, with the crowd clearly believing the Russian ought to have gotten his hand raised.

During the contest, Volkov landed some tremendous shots, including a spinning backfist that rocked his rival to his core.

Thus, when the decision was read, the official loser looked perplexed as boos echoed around the venue.

Upon hearing the result, Gane quickly exited the octagon, before returning to tell Joe Rogan that he was livid with his performance, and that he’d suffered an injury.

The Parisian, said: “It was really tight, he did a really great job. I know I had him in some danger; that’s maybe why the judges chose me.

“I broke my toes, so I’m not happy with the fight. The first kick, I broke my toes. Anyway, no excuse.

“I got a win, but I’m not happy.”

Gane wasn’t the only competitor to deliver an interesting post-fight interview tonight, with Bryce Mitchell giving Rogan an apology.

Following his statement performance over Kron Gracie, ‘Thug Nasty’ was filled with remorse, and wanted to make things right with the popular podcaster.

With that in mind, he took the mic and poured out his heart.
