Alexandre Pantoja discusses fight with Muhammad Mokaev
On Saturday evening, Alexandre Pantoja will attempt to make the next defense of his belt against Kai Asakura at UFC 310 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.
Should he leave the building with the title still wrapped around his waist, the 34-year-old could have a clash with Muhammad Mokaev in his future.
After a series of issues outside of the cage, the UFC decided against re-signing the Englishman after his last fight with Manel Kape, prompting the grappler to head back to Brave CF.
However, Dana White has since opened the door for the possibility of a return, breathing new life into the hope of an epic battle between the 24-year-old and Pantoja.

It goes without saying that the champion is more than happy to give the public the collision they want.
In an exclusive interview with Bloody Elbow, he said: “Very interesting fight. I like being in this position right now. Everybody knows about the flyweights. Before, the flyweight division was too new. Do you have a name?
“Now, everyone is talking about Muhammad, how good he is. He left the UFC and now he’s trying to come back. This is nice history.
“You have the former champ Brandon Moreno; everybody loves him; you have Brandon Royval, who’s a dog. Every time, he puts up a good fight for everyone. You have Manel Kape. I love that
“I fight with all the guys. It’s very good for me right now.”
