Kai Asakura fought his brother in a street fight
At UFC 310, on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, former Rizin King, Kai Asakura, will challenge Alexandre Pantoja for the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization’s flyweight championship.
The gifted striker has his sights set on reaching the sporting pinnacle he started chasing on an evening in Japan when he went to war with his own brother.
While most start their journey towards UFC superstardom by setting foot in a gym, Asakura did things slightly differently.
His sibling, who was renowned for battling on the streets, challenged him to a clash, and the future MMA icon accepted the call-out.

On the UFC 310 Countdown Show, the warrior explained: “The story of how I got into MMA is quite crazy. My older brother was fighting on the street every day. He beat everyone, and there was no one left to fight. So, one day, my older brother called me into the street in the middle of the night.
“Suddenly, he gave me some boxing gloves to wear. He was really trying to kill me with each strike. I was able to dodge everything. It was the first time I ever had a real fight. That’s when I realized I had serious potential as a fighter.”
Alexandre Pantoja wants to emulate Anderson Silva at UFC 310
While Asakura is confident he has the minerals to claim the UFC title in his very first fight in the company, Alexandre Pantoja has other ideas.
Born in Brazil, the talented athlete grew up watching the legendary Anderson Silva render his opponents unconscious with an array of epic kicks.
And at UFC 310, he intends on emulating his hero in one specific area.
