‘UFC needs to make a trade’… MMA fans react to Dakota Ditcheva’s ruthless knockout to claim $1 million PFL prize

In the co-main event of the 2024 PFL Championship last night, Manchester’s own Dakota Ditcheva earned herself the $1 million cheque with a sensational second-round knockout of Taila Santos.

Whilst the Professional Fighters League knows that they have a bonified superstar on their hands, that hasn’t stopped a slew of MMA fans from calling on the undefeated flyweight to make a big-money move to the UFC.

Dakota Ditcheva scores brutal knockout to claim $1 million

In the co-main event of last night’s fabulous MMA showcase out in Saudi Arabia, Dakota Ditcheva did what Dakota Ditcheva was meant to do; dominate from start to finish – and score her ninth stoppage win in a row.

It was a sensational performance from the Manchester-born flyweight, who was keen to drive home her achievement as she spoke to Dan Hardy in the SmartCage: “Right from the beginning of this season, if I got her in the first round, I would’ve done the same thing.

“She’s been saying, ‘She’s just a barbie, she should be a model.’ Well, a model just beat your a** in round two, so shut up!”

The outstanding performance, which culminated in the devastating body-shot knockout, is the talk of the town this morning; with MMA fans around the world celebrating the birth of a new global superstar.

Yet for every post praising ‘Dangerous’, there is another message claiming that Dakota should Ditch-eva the PFL in favor of testing herself in the UFC.

Ditcheva herself teased earlier this year that she “could have the title if I went to [the UFC].”

However, the PFL is by no means a ‘feeder promotion’ to the UFC and needs to retain its emerging roster of true superstars if it is to continue turning heads; especially after an enormous recent investment.

Dakota Ditcheva is now 14-0 as a professional MMA fighter with one decision, one submission and a whopping 12 knockouts on her resume.
