With Jake Paul continuing to make a splash in the boxing world, he continues to face criticism but is now seemingly winning over a side of the sport.
After his recent controversial win over Mike Tyson in what went down as the biggest combat sports event in modern history, critics have continued to slam Jake Paul for his choice of opponents.
Despite that, following his win, ‘The Problem Child’ called for a cruiserweight title fight against Canelo Alvarez, which is highly unlikely.

Carl Froch goes in on Ariel Helwani and Jake Paul’s manager
Former super-middleweight boxing champion, Carl Froch, was recently mentioned by Jake Paul’s manager, Nakisa Biderian, after Froch claimed that he would beat the 27-year-old with ‘one arm tied behind my back’.
Biderian slammed the Brit, claiming that ‘no one in America knows who he is, hinting that he is trying to secure a fight against Paul to better his name globally.
Froch didn’t take kindly to Biderian’s comments, slamming him for managing the ‘clown show Fake Paul’ and going on to list his and his fellow British boxers’ accolades in America.
However, the former champion then went on to slam MMA and boxing journalist, Ariel Helwani, for his backing of Paul and claiming that Froch is ‘begging’ for a fight against him and that he isn’t known in America.
“Ariel Helwani was talking sh*t on his show last week, absolute nonsense, really exposing his limited knowledge of the professional boxing world,” Froch said in a video on his YouTube channel.
“Ariel, keep your mouth shut because you don’t know about the Cobra’s career… Stick to MMA journalism… Everything you’re saying about Jake Paul and fighting fighters like me or Tony Bellew and we’re looking for a payday… I’ve already said on numerous occasions that I’ll fight him for charity,” Froch continued.

Tony Bellew also hits back at Ariel Helwani for his comments
‘The Cobra’ Froch isn’t the only one to hit back at Helwani for his comments regarding the Jake Paul saga, as former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew also hit back at the journalist.
‘Bomber’ Bellew was in attendance for one of the press conferences between Paul and Tyson, and he got on the microphone and slammed ‘The Problem Child’ for picking ‘Iron Mike’ as an opponent.
“Ariel, don’t mention me! I didn’t once ask to fight him I came over there with a great-grandfather making a mockery of what he was doing,” Bellew began to hit back in a response on X.
“Don’t compare me to people calling him out as I’m just not doing that! You need to stop comparing his numbers to a boxer’s also! They’re not boxing fans who are turning up they are kids and people who have no regard for boxing! The man beat a 58-year-old grandfather!” the Brit continued.
It is unclear who Paul’s next opponent in the ring will be, however, he has now been called out by several professional champions, including Artur Beterbiev.
