Former UFC light heavyweight champions, Jamahal Hill and Jiri Prochazka are scheduled to clash at the beginning of 2025 after both losing their last fights to Alex Pereira.
Jiri Prochazka was reigning over the 205lb division back in 2022, but after suffering a shoulder injury which Dana White described as the worst he’s ever seen, Prochazka vacated the title.
Jamahal Hill went on to claim it after a unanimous decision win over Glover Teixeira at UFC 283 but subsequently got KOd against Alex Pereira at UFC 300 earlier this year.

Jamahal Hill sends bizarre statement to Jiri Prochazka regarding his last fight
After ‘Sweetdreams’ went to sleep in the first round against ‘Poatan’, the dominant Brazilian then went on to rematch Prochazka just a few months later and KOd him in the second round with a beautiful switch kick.
With neither fighter able to get the better of the 37-year-old champion, they have now been booked to fight each other on January 18 at UFC 311, with both fighters hoping to return to the win column.
Ahead of their clash, things have begun to heat up between the two and they have shared words with each other online.
Hill began by criticizing Prochazka’s fight IQ, which is something the fanbase has highlighted in his previous fights. Prochazka responded by imploring Hill to stop talking about his performances because, in his last performance, he showed ‘nothing’.
However, this only spurred the 33-year-old on even more, and in his recent YouTube video, Hill sent a bizarre statement to Prochazka regarding his last fight against Pereira.
“Bro, are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?” Hill questioned.

“We had the same opponent last fight. In your last performance, you got dominated. Dominated and knocked out. Completely shut down, completely exposed and then got done, bad, bro. You got did bad.
“I got caught, you got dominated, there’s a huge difference, you feel what I’m saying? My man’s (Pereira) literally had your ponytail leaning to the left. I hope you wear that same ponytail in LA so I can lean that motherf*cker to the left right back for you… This is insane,” Hill continued.
Hill’s statement doesn’t make much sense, considering he was knocked out by Pereira quicker than what Prochazka was in his rematch with the Brazilian in June.
Jamahal Hill also rips into Magomed Ankalaev for ‘bum’ comments
‘Poatan’s’ next title defense is highly likely to come against Magomed Ankalaev after the Russian’s win at UFC 308 in October.
Ankalaev has been extremely vocal online whilst waiting for his title shot, and ‘Sweetdreams’ Hill was caught in his crossfire recently.
“Mr ankle grabber, Ankalaev, whatever his name is… He just can’t stop talking about me, man. You earned the title shot after one of the worst fights of the year, good for you… Bum is insane… Remember when you got a title shot given when the belt was vacant and you fumbled it.
“Call me what you want but don’t forget to call me champ,” Hill continued.
