Francis Ngannou has a new potential foe to fend off, with Denis Goltsov making an enormous statement in the PFL World Championship final.
The Russian produced a stunning submission to throw his hat into the mix to share the cage with ‘The Predator’.

Denis Goltsov calls out Francis Ngannou
When Francis Ngannou defeated Renan Ferreira in the very first round back in October, fans were interested in who the PFL Super Fights heavyweight champion would fight next.
And now, they might have their answer, with Denis Goltsov looking nothing short of superb in his clash with Oleg Popov.
Going into the contest, his opponent was riding a formidable 17-fight win streak, but in the eyes of the Russian, that meant nothing.
Inside the opening segment, Goltsov locked in a submission so tight it rendered his adversary unconscious.
After years of trying, the sambo practitioner was thrilled to finally claim the belt he’s for so long chased, telling Dan Hardy: “I’m really happy because it’s my fifth time. This year, for me, is very good because I feel my condition was much better than last year.
“Now, I think I’m ready, and I want big fights against the big guys. Maybe next year, you will see me in the cage again.
However, ‘The Outlaw’ wasn’t going to let him get away without saying a name.
When asked who he’d like to fight next, Goltsov replied: “Of course, Francis Ngannou.”

While Goltsov would love the fight, Ngannou certainly isn’t short of options.
With the Cameroonian still arguably the greatest heavyweight on the planet, a plethora of mixed martial artists would love to claim his scalp.
One in particular, who’s conquered another organization, has taken to social media to challenge the powerhouse to a major showdown.
