During an interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, the 46-year-old said: “When I fought Jon Jones, I remember people saying, ‘Who are you fighting next?’ I was like, ‘Jon Jones,’ and it was like, ‘Who is that?’… I heard the interview, and he said he didn’t wanna give Aspinall a fight because people didn’t really know who he was.
“He felt like Aspinall will make a name off his back. I was like, ‘Jon Jones, when I fought you, nobody really knew who you were. You weren’t a superstar yet’.”
