This past Saturday at UFC Macau, the ESPN broadcast announced that Jamahal Hill and Jiri Prochazka are set to throw down at UFC 311 on January 18.
Both light heavyweights have recently fallen at the hands of current champion, Alex Pereira, making their clash at UFC 311 on January 18 and important fight for both.
Jamahal Hill has been extremely vocal since losing the 205lb title and following his first-round loss to ‘Poatan’, the 33-year-old was hopeful that he would be awarded an immediate rematch.

Jon Jones gives his prediction for Jamahal Hill vs Jiri Prochazka
Although ‘Sweetdreams’ wasn’t awarded the immediate rematch, he has been thrust straight back into a title eliminator fight against the former champion, Jiri Prochazka.
Bizarrely, ahead of his recent comeback at UFC 309, Jon Jones admitted that in the future, he would like to fight the likes of Hill which shocked fans considering his move to heavyweight and his adamance of not fighting interim champion, Tom Aspinall.
Despite that, ‘Bones’ has recently teased that he and the UFC have begun negotiations for his next fight, with it likely coming against the aforementioned Aspinall.
As well as that, Jones provided his prediction on Hill’s upcoming fight against Prochazka, after naming him as a potential future opponent of his.
“I think Jamahal Hill will win. Jiri has really unorthodox striking but Jamahal seems like the more technical and clean striker and I’m a big fan of basic techniques and Jamahal has a really strong basic and clean kickboxing style,” Jones told The Schmo.
Jamahal Hill goes in on ‘B*tch’ Magomed Ankalaev
Although both Jones and Pereira wanted their next fights to come against each other, the Brazilian champion is likely to defend his title against Magomed Ankalaev next.
The Russian has been extremely outspoken about his fellow competitors in the light heavyweight division, and he has taken aim at ‘Sweetdreams’ Hill on several occasions.
Ahead of his fight against Prochazka, Hill has responded to Ankalaev’s recent comments and has stated he wants to knock him out in the future.
“I wanna knock Magomed out in his own too because to me he’s a b*tch and he talks like a b*tch and he acts like a b*tch,” Hill told Inside Fighting.
“I really don’t f*ck with him much at all, so f*ck him, so I’d love nothing more than to put his b*tch ass to sleep. He just acts like a b*tch, I don’t even say things I’m not even talking to this weirdo and then he comes and tries to take shots at me because he’s so lame and he sees the fanbase has a thing for me,” Hill continued.
