Israel Adesanya shares crazy live reaction to epic moment from Charles Oliveira vs Michael Chandler 2 at UFC 309

Israel Adesanya loved what he saw during the UFC 309 co-main event.

Charles Oliveira went 2-0 in fights against Michael Chandler, who he beat by unanimous decision after previously knocking him out, at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday night.

‘Do Bronx’ had won every round before the final frame, but he had to survive some scary and downright bizarre moments before getting his hand raised this weekend.

Chandler’s last-ditch efforts to pull a victory from the jaws of defeat impressed fans and had Israel Adesanya in fits of laughter as he watched UFC 309 at home with his friends.

Israel Adesanya shares live reaction to UFC 309

The former two-time UFC middleweight champion is known for streaming his live reaction to big fight cards, so naturally, he did so for UFC 309.

Footage of him watching the final moments of Oliveira vs Chandler 2 has quickly gone viral as he totally loses his cool watching ‘Iron Mike’ throw caution to the wind.

Chandler had badly rocked Oliveira earlier in the round, but he was unable to close the show and ended up with the Brazilian submission specialist on his back as the seconds ticked down.

In a great feat of strength, Chandler stood up with Oliveira on his back before jumping down to the floor and ensuring his opponent took the impact.

The 38-year-old got up and did the same thing again to cement himself as a true contender for Max Holloway’s BMF belt, even though his fourth UFC defeat was confirmed moments later.

“Do it,” Adesanya said repeatedly before howling with laughter when he tossed Oliveira to the floor.

He added: “Do another one! Let’s go!”

Adesanya laughed, screamed, and clapped at his TV throughout the wild sequence that appears to have secured Chandler’s long-term future in the UFC.

Dana White will never cut Michael Chandler

Chandler is 2-4 in the UFC, but big boss Dana White will never cut him.

During a post-fight press conference, the UFC CEO compared Chandler to one of boxing’s biggest legends and insisted that the American could stay with his promotion for as long as he wanted.

“He’s like an Arturo Gatti,” White said about Chandler after UFC 309. “He’s one of those – win, lose, or draw, you’re never bummed out at the end of a Michael Chandler fight.

“The last round of that fight, he kept getting taken down. He got on his back. So, when he got on his back at the end, he just stood up and started slamming him.

“The kid always tries to win. He always comes to fight and Michael Chandler’s always going to have a home here. Until he decides to retire, Michael Chandler isn’t going anywhere.”
