Jon Jones finally reveals the thing Tom Aspinall has done that has really gotten under his skin

Jon Jones has opened up about why he believes Tom Aspinall is an ‘a**hole’, explaining that there’s one particular thing that has really rubbed him up the wrong way.

With ‘Bones’ retaining his heavyweight belt last night, MMA fans across the globe are hoping he’ll finally sign on the dotted line to face the interim champion.

Jon Jones says he doesn’t like Tom Aspinall

At UFC 309, inside Madison Square Garden, New York, USA, Jon Jones successfully defended his championship belt via a third-round spinning back kick.

Throughout the contest, the champion capitalized on his over-the-hill opponent. While Stipe Miocic was once a terrifying operator with formidable power and tremendous wrestling skills, he’s no longer the devastating force he used to be.

While the Cleveland athlete tried his best to get into the fight, he struggled to spring into action, leaving fans upset that the match-up never occurred while the icon was at the peak of his powers.

Regardless, Jones is still the King of the division, with fans desperate to see him take on Tom Aspinall.

The potential clash is undeniably mouth-watering. But sadly, ‘Bones’ isn’t doing much to reassure the MMA community that it will actually take place.

Throughout the build-up to the fight at the weekend, he was slating Aspinall. And now he’s claimed that his rival’s trash talk has really touched a nerve.

At the UFC 309 post-fight press conference, he said: “Coming up with Jon Jones t-shirts, buying a little duck, just the little s**t that he does. He’s annoying to me.

“I get to you guys, you find it entertaining, but I find him annoying. I just don’t like him.

“At the end of the day, if I give him the opportunity to fight me, I want to be so compensated, I’m gonna say it, I want that ‘f**k you’ money, honestly.

“My life is perfect without him; I don’t need him at all. He needs me, and that’s a good place to be in a negotiation.”

Exactly what happened when Tom Aspinall crossed paths with Jon Jones’ brothers at UFC 309

While the fight between Jones and Miocic took center stage in MSG, Aspinall was undeniably the elephant in the room.

Having destroyed a plethora of top contenders, many believe the Englishman could be the best in the world.

With that in mind, he made sure he was cage-side to scout the man he hopes he’ll one day share the octagon with.

And in order to do that, he had to cross paths with Jones’ two NFL Super Bowl-winning brothers, with Aspinall sharing an interesting interaction with the pair of formidable athletes.
