Mike Tyson refuses to retire as he makes call out immediately after losing Jake Paul comeback fight

Mike Tyson suffered the seventh defeat of his professional boxing career after returning to the ring against social media star Jake Paul.

The 58-year-old looked every bit of his age in last night’s farcical event, unable to find the remnants of his explosive style that once saw him rule the heavyweight division.

Instead, Tyson labored to a unanimous decision loss through eight, uninspiring two-minute rounds, landing a total of just 18 punches according to Compubox.

And yet, while Mike Tyson was proven to be a shadow of his former self, he has nonetheless ruled out a heavily advisable exit from the sport.

Mike Tyson calls out Logan Paul after losing to Jake Paul

The main-event at a packed out AT&T Stadium, Texas, failed to galvanize the 80 thousand-plus fans in attendance, with Tyson no longer possessing the attributes that earned him the ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ moniker.

But thankfully, there were two undercard fights on Netflix’s debut boxing show that delivered fireworks from start to finish.

Katie Taylor – arguably the greatest female boxer of all time – edged a highly contentious split decision in her compelling rematch with Amanda Serrano.

WBC world welterweight champion Mario Barrios defended his crown too, with his action-packed war against Abel Ramos ending in a draw.

The headliner, though, was ultimately what had generated most of the viewership numbers, with Jake Paul coming away from his marketing ploy after claiming a controversial scalp.

Shortly after the wide scorecards were read out, however, Tyson shockingly decided to call out his opponent’s brother, WWE star Logan Paul.

When asked if he would retire, Tyson said: “I don’t think so. Maybe [I’ll fight] his brother.”

Will Mike Tyson fight Logan Paul next?

It goes without saying that an extension of Tyson’s comeback is the last thing that boxing fans wish to see.

And, sure enough, Logan Paul swiftly shut down the former heavyweight champion’s request while standing next to him in the ring, simply saying: “I’d kill you Mike.”

The wrestler went toe-to-toe with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in an uneventful exhibition back in 2021.

Yet still, it would appear that, after seeing the sorry state of affairs that unfolded last night, even Paul can see that fighting Tyson would be a step too far.
