Joe Rogan shares depressing three-word reaction after dreaming of ‘magic’ Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson result

Joe Rogan wanted to see a shocking upset in the most controversial fight of 2024.

The UFC commentator and popular podcaster was among the 65 million people who tuned in to watch Jake Paul box Mike Tyson during Netflix’s first foray into combat sports on Friday night.

‘Iron Mike’ was written off by many after announcing he’d return to the ring at 58 years old, especially as he’d been booked to face someone more than three decades his junior.

However, some believed he could spring an almighty upset in his first pro fight since 2005.

Joe Rogan issues three-word reaction to Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson

Joe Rogan was openly rooting for Mike Tyson to roll back the years against Jake Paul.

“I’m getting ready to watch this Tyson vs Jake Paul fight like I’m watching someone cast a spell that I hope actually works. And I don’t really believe in magic. But I want to believe,” he tweeted pre-fight.

Unfortunately for Rogan, the spell didn’t work and Tyson lost a lopsided unanimous decision in his comeback, which prompted the MMA icon to return to X – formerly known as Twitter – with a three-word reaction.

Rogan wrote: “Magic isn’t real”

The 57-year-old hasn’t said anything else about the matchup that seems to be the last for Tyson.

Mike Tyson hints at retirement in emotional statement

Tyson suggested that he would fight again as he called out Logan Paul immediately after losing to his brother, but hours later he seemed to have had a change of heart as he broke his social media silence.

The former undefeated heavyweight world champion insisted that he was a winner after going the distance after he ‘almost died’ when a mid-air medical incident forced him out of his first fight date with Paul earlier this year.

“This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time.

“I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won.

“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you.”
