Jake Paul is presented with opportunity to become undisputed champion following Mike Tyson victory

Jake Paul produced a lackluster performance to comprehensively outpoint Mike Tyson in last night’s nonsensical showdown at a sold-out AT&T Stadium, Texas.

The 27-year-old claims that he carried Tyson through eight two-minute rounds, not wishing to inflict any unnecessary damage while securing his 11th victory in professional boxing.

But, in truth, the blockbuster clash – headlining Netflix’s first ever live boxing show – was, in many ways, proven to be somewhat unnecessary.

After all, Jake Paul has since been ridiculed for fighting a man who, albeit a decorated legend of the sport, is more than 30 years his senior.

Artur Beterbiev expresses an interest in fighting Jake Paul

Since turning professional back in 2020, Paul has amassed a series of highlight reel knockouts over former UFC stars such as Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva.

But then, when he came up against unproven boxer Tommy Fury, ‘The Problem Child’ suffered his first defeat in a frustratingly scrappy affair.

Nevertheless, the social media star was able to land a monumental dustup against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, who returned to a professional ring last night for the first time in nearly two decades.

And yet, even after displaying a limited repertoire of skills in his unanimous decision victory over the 58-year-old, Paul insists that he has what it takes to become a world champion.

But while he has openly targeted super middleweight king Canelo Alvarez, it appears that an alternative option has now been presented to him.

Despite piling on the pounds to face Tyson at heavyweight, Paul has largely campaigned around the 200 lb mark.

And so, undisputed light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev has chosen to throw his name into the mix, confirming that he is ‘open to any suggestions.’

Should Jake Paul fight Artur Beterbiev?

Beterbiev comes off a highly contentious majority decision victory over Dmitry Bivol, but has always expressed an interest in moving up to cruiserweight.

As one of the biggest operators in the 175 lb division, a move up in weight would only be natural for the 39-year-old.

Not only that, but Beterbiev is renowned as one of the most devastating punchers in boxing, with his pulverizing power showing no signs of diminishing.

As for Paul, though, it is perhaps best for him to swerve the knockout artist and, instead, face an active fighter who he may have a chance of beating.
