One of the worst amateur fights you’ll ever see took place about one hundred rows up at AT&T Stadium between two fans at Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson.
Jake Paul and Mike Tyson went the distance in their heavyweight boxing match. In the stands, two fans decided to throw hands, but the fight between them was so lackluster that surrounding attendees broke it up out of boredom.
Crowd brawls happen at combat sports events, as seen at UFC and other high-profile cards. Paul vs. Tyson was one of the biggest boxing matches of 2024 with a massive viewing audience.
Alcohol, combined with the high-intensity venues that host fights, can sometimes lead to violent altercations between spectators.
Two fans might’ve had too much to drink at AT&T Stadium ahead of the highly-anticipated Paul vs. Tyson clash. As tensions built, the two men decided to attempt an impromptu boxing tryout on one of the concourses, but it didn’t turn out as most expected.

One of the fans threw a fast uppercut that barely missed his opponent’s chin. But, a follow-up left hook badly missed the mark with force so strong that he knocked himself to the ground and flat on his face.
The other fan with a mullet decided to fight dirty against his opponent. He attempted to eye gouge his rival before surrounding fans stepped in to separate the two sides.
In total, a handful of strikes were landed between the two fans on the concourse. As of this writing, it’s uncertain if they were kicked out of the venue by security, but they likely won’t try to fight again anytime soon after their performances.
Awkward crowd fight adds to Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson storylines
Paul went on to defeat Tyson in the main event by unanimous decision for his fifth consecutive boxing win. The 58-year-old Tyson struggled to maintain a competitive activity level as the fight played out, and Paul dealt the bigger blows in the later rounds.
Paul called out boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez for his next fight, but as of this writing, Alvarez hasn’t responded to his pitch for a fight. Alvarez defeated Edgar Berlanga in his last fight in September by unanimous decision to retain his super middleweight titles.
Before the win over Tyson, Paul defeated the likes of former UFC superstar Nate Diaz and Bare Knuckle FC standout Mike Perry. Next, he could potentially look to avenge the long defeat of his professional boxing career in a rematch against Tommy Fury.
Tyson was making his first professional boxing appearance since a loss to Kevin McBride in 2005. He returned to boxing in an exhibition setting in 2020, fighting to a draw against fellow legend Roy Jones Jr.
Crowd fights happen and they usually result in some sort of injury or police-involved aftermath. Luckily, neither fan seemed seriously hurt, although their fight’s entertainment value didn’t meet initial expectations.
