Back in 2010, Tony Ferguson appeared on The Ultimate Fighter: Team Lesnar vs. Team dos Santos.

However, his method of conveying his feelings didn’t go down brilliantly with his star student.
During the show, Lesnar made the following speech: “Seize the moment, fellas. I haven’t seen jacks**t. You all look like chicken s**t. This is the real thing. You guys walk around here, you’re bada** this, bada**, that.
“Win, lose or draw, I don’t give a s**t. You go out there and put your balls on the line.”
The insult undeniably got under Ferguson’s skin, with the jiu-jitsu practitioner, venting his frustration during a confessional.
He fumed: “It kind of got to me at first. And I think it kind of got to a lot of us. I ain’t no chicken s**t. That’s for damn sure.”

Realizing he needed to clarify his comments, Lesnar gathered his team together and said: “Before you guys got on this show, you were one in 2,000,000 people.
“You guys were just another fighter. Just another 170-pound chicken s**t. But now, you guys are chicken salad.”
Taking the feedback on board, Ferguson ended up winning the entire show. And many years later, the esteemed fighter has conceded that his old coach may have been right all along.
At the pre-UFC 262 press conference, Ferguson said: “I made contact with Brock. He said, ‘Do you understand what I was talking about with the difference between chicken s**t and chicken salad’? I said, ‘Absof**inglutely’.”
