Stipe Miocic tells Jake Paul what he needs to do to thrive in MMA

In November, two of Cleveland’s most famous sporting stars will compete in massive combat sports bouts just a day apart.

And before their respective bouts with Jon Jones and Mike Tyson, Stipe Miocic and Jake Paul shared an interesting chat.

Having won the Golden Gloves as an amateur boxer and competed as a Division One wrestler in college, Miocic had the perfect skills to take over the world of UFC.

Having earned legendary status as a two-time heavyweight champion, the gifted athlete is in the perfect position to analyze whether Paul has what it takes to make it inside the cage.

And by the sounds of it, if the YouTuber knuckles down and works on his jiu-jitsu, then he could make a real go of it.

During BS with Jake Paul, Miocic told the boxer’s co-host: “Jake’s good with his hands, I’ve seen that firsthand in person. Also, he’s wrestled, so he knows how to do that.

“All it is, is being smart on the ground, not putting yourself in a bad position where you can get choked out or arm-barred. I think he’ll be fine.

“If he’s just smart, and listens to his coaches, I think he’ll do well.”

When asked outright if he believes Paul could be just as successful in MMA as boxing, Miocic replied: “Absolutely.”

UFC heavyweight legend believes Stipe Miocic will beat Jon Jones

With an array of top-level wins on his resume, Miocic has proven his credentials inside the octagon beyond doubt.

However, with the icon having not fought in several years, many are convinced he’s in for a rude awakening against Jones.

But one former champion is insistent that the Croatian-American has what it takes to finish Bones and ‘be the King’.
