Shara ‘Bullet’ Magomedov already preparing for next fight as his coach teases confirmed date… ‘It may be Israel Adesanya’

After picking up a blockbuster KO of the year at UFC 308 this past weekend, Shara ‘Bullet’ Magomedov isn’t trying to take any time off and wants to dive straight back into action.

Continuing his undefeated run, Shara ‘Bullet’ Magomedov picked up an impressive come-from-behind victory against Armen Petrosyan at UFC 308 with a KO of the year contender.

The finishing blow was the first double spinning back fist knockout in UFC history, with fans comparing it to something out of the video game, Tekken.

Shara ‘Bullet’ Magomedov already preparing for next fight as talks begin

Following the Russian’s win over the striker, Petrosyan, he seemingly called for a fight against Israel Adesanya stating, ‘I am the best striker in the division, I will smash Israel Adesanya’.

Although prior to the fight that may have seemed like a longshot, because of the nature of his win, Shara ‘Bullet’ earned himself a spot in the middleweight rankings, now sitting at rank 14.

Israel Adesanya is currently ranked number two in the division and seemingly still has hopes that he can recapture the 185lb title. Although Magomedov is at the other end of the rankings to him, it is a stylistic matchup that the fans are craving, and Adesanya is seemingly interested.

Magomedov’s coach recently told Udar TV that the Russian is already preparing for his next fight and has teased a date.

“We already began preparation for February 1st. We don’t know who the opponent will be, but the date is set. It’s going to be February 1st in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It may be Israel Adesanya. There isn’t much more of a ‘WOW’ out there.”

The promotion is set to hold its second event in Saudi Arabia on February 1st after their inaugural event in the region earlier this June was a huge success.

Israel Adesanya teases he is back in camp for next fight

Before returning to take on Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 305, ‘The Last Stylebender’ took the longest he’s ever taken away from fighting, attempting to recover from lingering injuries.

This past Tuesday, the former middleweight champion teased on his Instagram that he is back in camp preparing for his next fight.

“One more for the road,” Adesanya posted with an image of him inside the boxing ring after a sparring session.

However, if the promotion isn’t keen on making a fight between Magomedov and Adesanya, Michael ‘Venom’ Page has admitted that he would like to fight the undefeated Russian in a move up a division.

“I’m at (middleweight) right now, you don’t even have to wait too long. That (fight) there, I’ll just take straight away just for the fun of it. I’m in shape now ready to go. That’s a good fight for me, a nice standup fight for everybody,” Michael Page told MMAFighting.
