Last night, Ilia Topuria produced an absolutely tremendous performance, but one fighter still thinks Conor McGregor is the greatest featherweight of all time.
And, of course, ‘The Notorious’ agrees.

Dillon Danis is convinced Conor McGregor is still the lineal featherweight champion
This year, Ilia Topuria has proven his credentials beyond doubt, knocking out Max Holloway and Alexander Volkanovksi.
On October 26, inside the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the Spanish-Georgian overcame everything ‘Blessed’ threw in his direction, before landing a devastating hook that left the legend crashing towards the canvas.
Having carved out such a fantastic 2024, Topuria is undeniably staking his claim as one of the best in the history of the division.
However, while he has victories over Volkanovski and Holloway, it’s fair to say his rivals both have their own right to being described as the featherweight GOAT.
Blown away: ‘It’s crazy’… Joe Rogan piles praise on Khamzat Chimaev for beating Robert Whittaker
Furthermore, Jose Aldo dominated the division for years, destroying his opponents with his thunderous kicks.
But of all the names mentioned, according to Dillon Danis, Conor McGregor is still the best to ever do it in the weight class, and remains the lineal champion.
The polarizing fighter tweeted: “Make no mistake, @TheNotoriousMMA is the greatest featherweight of all time and still the lineal champion. End of discussion.”
It comes as no major surprise that ‘The Notorious’ agrees with the verdict, reposting the tweet to his timeline.
Khamzat Chimaev calls out Alex Pereira for light heavyweight title fight
Toupria wasn’t the only man to impress last night, with Khamzat Chimaev producing the most impressive performance of his career.
‘Borz’ absolutely dismantled Robert Whittaker, ragdolling him across the cage, en route to securing a first-round submission, in which he broke his opponent’s jaw.
Following the fight, many claimed that Chimaev now deserves a shot at the middleweight throne.
But the Swede says he’s willing to go a step further, calling out Alex Pereira for a light heavyweight showdown.
WOW: Ilia Topuria and Alexander Volkanovksi face off in the cage and agree to rematch
