Shara ‘Bullet’ Magomedov is one of the most promising prospects in the UFC and following his UFC 308 performance against Armen Petrosyan, his starpower has grown significantly.

Heading into UFC 308 on Saturday, Shara ‘Bullet’ Magomedov was being highlighted as one of the best prospects in the promotion having won his first three fights under the UFC banner impressively.

Standing opposite him this time out was Armen Petrosyan, as the striker was looking to bounce back from a loss last time out to Rodolfo Vieira.

Shara ‘Bullet’ Magomedov scores double back-fist walk-off KO at UFC 308

‘Superman’ Petrosyan is most well known for his explosive kickboxing style and he has showcased throughout his five fights under the UFC banner that he is a dangerous fight for anyone in the middleweight division.

Early on in the fight, the Armenian caught Magomedov with a big right hand that momentarily wobbled the Russian and put his back against the cage with it looking like he was going to lose his undefeated record.

Despite that, the 30-year-old showed his grit and quickly recovered from the big shot, returning some damaging shots of his own. Throughout the first round, it became clear that both fighters were looking to nullify the other with some crushing leg kicks.

After being rocked early on, Shara ‘Bullet’ did well to completely recover and turned the tide of the round with some significant strikes of his own.

Coming out for round two, Petrosyan looked like the worse off of the two as Magomedov’s leg kicks began taking their toll and he had found his timing and rhythm.

After another strong round for Magomedov, with just eight seconds left of the round, he landed a huge spinning back fist to the chin of Petrosyan and as he spun back around, landed another one sinking Petrosyan to the ground.

Shara Magomedov calls out fellow striker Israel Adesanya following incredible win

The utterly incredible walk-off KO marks the first time a fighter has won a fight via a double spinning back-fist, with Magomedov taking full advantage of being involved on the PPV portion of the card.

Prior to the fight, Magomedov stated that he wanted to be involved against some of the other top strikers in the division and wanted to fight a big name at 185lbs.

“I’m happy, very happy. Listen to me, I am the best striker in this division, I will smash Israel Adesanya,” Magomedov claimed in his Octagon interview.

Following his disappointing loss against Dricus Du Plessis back at UFC 305, Israel Adesanya will likely need to fight down the rankings if he is to be afforded another title shot.

Although he and Magomedov are extremely far apart in the middleweight rankings, it is a matchup that could be extremely exciting for the fans considering both of their styles. Having said that, ‘The Last Stylebender’ recently teased a potential fight against Nassourdine Imavov.
