Mike Tyson has branded Jake Paul no more than a ‘manufactured killer’ as he begins to lock in for their showdown next month.
The legendary heavyweight champion is set to face YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul on November 15 in a massive heavyweight showdown after almost a year of build-up. There are massive questions around how the bout will go, particularly given that Tyson is 58-years-old.
But he has begun to open up with more training footage and interviews as the fight draws closer. And he has left a terrifying warning for the celebrity boxer in a new preview video for their Netflix pre-fight documentary series.

Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will release pre-fight Netflix Documentary
As part of the build-up for November 15, both Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will feature in a multi-part documentary series for broadcaster Netflix. It is the streamer’s first foray into live boxing, and there are a number of layers to the promotion.
The documentary will likely answer a number of questions that have arisen surrounding the bout, particularly since the first date for their meeting was canceled due to a medical emergency. Tyson was forced out by doctors due to an ulcer flare-up, which meant that Paul instead fought Mike Perry.
And fans will be intrigued to see how the legendary boxer’s camp is going after such an incident, which caused widespread criticism of the event. The documentary, entitled ‘COUNTDOWN’ will be released on two dates, with episodes one and two out on November 7, and episode three out on November 12.
Mike Tyson sends frightening message to Jake Paul in Netflix preview
In the first trailer for COUNTDOWN, both Paul and Tyson can be seen training, as well as discussing the fight. One clip shows Tyson watching the YouTuber’s post-fight interview after stopping Perry, in which he declares that he will ‘take his throne’.

The iconic boxer laughs, before telling the cameras “he’s a manufactured killer, I’m a natural born killer.” His face very quickly changes from jovial to serious during the intense scene, which has changed fan perspective on the fight.
During an earlier segment, Tyson also notes that he needs the fear of humiliation to motivate him to do major tasks. “I won’t do anything if I don’t risk being embarrassed,” he tells the cameras. “Like now, I want to fight this young motherf***er.”
Mike Tyson believes Jake Paul will run from him in boxing showdown
There is a belief that Paul, who is an active boxer with a 10-1 record, should be able to comfortably defeat the 58-year-old Tyson. Paul has boxed three times within the last 11 months, while Tyson has competed in two exhibition bouts since retiring in 2005; most recently in 2020 against Roy Jones Jr.
But the legendary heavyweight reckons he will have to convince his rival to trade with him, telling Fox 4 Dallas-Fort Worth: “My intention is to hurt this young man… I think he’s going to run like a thief, I don’t see how he’s going to make an exciting fight by running all day.
“He’ supposed to be the young guy, I’m supposed to be the old man, he’s going to run all f***ing night? I think he should try it. He’s a younger man, he should be able to handle punches from an old withering man like me.
“Listen, you can’t compare me with other people my age because other people my age haven’t been training as long, consistently as me. I’m just a different species of human being, I think because I’m very active in what I do.
“I don’t sit around and do nothing, I’m very active in what I do and I’m very serious about what I do. I’m just so interested and I can’t wait for the evening to happen, it’s going to be a wonderful evening, the city of Dallas is going to be entertained.”
