The PFL is one of MMA’s fastest rising promotions, with YouTube star Jake Paul looking to elevate the organization’s profile after signing a multi-fight deal last year.
Jake Paul, of course, will lock horns with former heavyweight boxing world champion Mike Tyson in a controversial showdown on November 15.
But aside from the 27-year-old, the PFL does boast an impressive roster of fighters, with both Francis Ngannou and Cris Cyborg appearing on a show last Saturday.
And so, with PFL boss Don Davis looking to provide fierce competition to the vastly established UFC, the MMA landscape in years to come could look somewhat different.

Dana White rival reveals that he doesn’t watch MMA
Last Saturday’s show in Saudi Arabia certainly represented a key moment in the PFL’s development, with MMA fans clamoring to see Ngannou back in the octagon following his first-round stoppage over Renan Ferreira.
Cyborg, too, demonstrated that she is by no means over the hill, as the Brazilian MMA legend put on a scintillating performance to beat Larissa Pacheco.
And yet, despite the rapid growth of his business, Davis is seemingly no closer to becoming the passionate fan that his rival, Dana White, most certainly is.
In fact, when he was asked to name his favorite MMA fighter of all time, Davis simply swerved the question and, instead, drew the conversation back to his PFL career.
“People who are doctors don’t watch medical shows; people who are lawyers don’t watch legal shows on TV,” Davis told MMAFightingonSBN.
“I’m aware of everything that’s going on because it’s important for business, but I don’t want to watch other people’s MMA shows for enjoyment.
“If I’m away from work, I’m away from work. P.S. I’m never away from work. I’m on year seven of no days off [and] no vacation.”
MMA fans react to Don Davis’ honest admission
There has been a largely mixed response to Davis’ interview on social media, with some MMA fans expressing their disapproval with his comments.
Others, meanwhile, have suggested that it is not his job to watch the enthralling action inside the octagon.
One fan said: “How is that possible? He just [watched] the [Battle of the Giants] cage side next to [Christiano Ronaldo].”
Another fan added: “In some ways I think that’s the best answer he could give. He isn’t there for [MMA] knowledge. At least that’s honest.”
Someone else said: “Bro needs to learn a bit from Dana. Sometimes you just need to lie.”
