Conor McGregor shares two-word reaction after it’s revealed he’s the most-used fighter in UFC 5 video game

Conor McGregor is still the most-used fighter in EA Sports’ UFC 5 video game despite his lack of activity in recent years.

The MMA star comes off a devastating first-round stoppage defeat to former UFC lightweight champion Dustin Poirier, who decisively ended their trilogy over three years ago.

Since then, the 36-year-old was set to face Michael Chandler in an eagerly anticipated matchup before he was forced to pull out with a toe injury.

But now, Conor McGregor has once again teased his UFC return, targeting fifth-ranked lightweight Dan Hooker as an opponent for his potential comeback early next year.

Conor McGregor is used more than Alex Pereira and Max Holloway in UFC 5

EA Sports UFC have now revealed the top five most-used fighters in the popular video game they released in October last year.

As some may have expected, McGregor tops the list in first place, showing that fans are still somewhat captivated by the dynamic striker.

Hovering just beneath the Irishman is two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira who, again, possesses a fluid kickboxing style that is likely to translate into a more compelling video game spectacle.

But then again, some fans may be surprised to discover that both McGregor and Pereira are used more commonly than Max Holloway, a bona fide fan-favorite.

With ‘Blessed’ taking on pound-for-pound star Ilia Topuria at UFC 308 this Saturday, though, perhaps UFC 5 players will be more inclined to use the 32-year-old.

Nevertheless, below these three boxing maestros on EA Sports UFC’s list are Sean O’Malley and Israel Adesanya, with the pair taking both fourth and fifth place respectively.

And so, after seeing that he remains the most popular fighter in UFC 5, McGregor reacted on X by saying, “AND STILL!”

Fans react to the top 5 most-used UFC 5 fighters

With MMA fans all having their own idea of who the best fighters are in their sport, there was a largely mixed response on social media to EA Sports UFC’s announcement.

One fan said: “Who would have guessed? All the normie casuals pick Pereira and Mcgregor.”

Another fan added: “No Jon Jones… weird.”

Someone else said: “Those are literally the top five stars in the UFC right now, if you consider Conor an active fighter lol.”
