‘I came along and smashed it’… Eddie Hall explains how he destroyed the world’s hardest punch record previously set by Alex Pereira

While Alex Pereira hits hard, Eddie Hall seemingly cracks with superior venom, with the 2017 World’s Strongest Man smashing the world’s heaviest punch record.

The pair of formidable athletes are renowned for their ferocious power, each utilizing their natural ability to reach the dazzling heights their respective sports have to offer.

Eddie Hall punches harder than Alex Pereira, according to the PowerKube test

In April, Alex Pereira broke the hardest punch world record on the UFC’s PowerKube, previously set by Francis Ngannou, hitting with an astonishing force of 191,796 units of power.

Throughout his career in both Glory kickboxing and the UFC, ‘Poatan’ has proven himself as an enormous puncher, rendering unconscious a plethora of top-level opponents.

However, while possessing undeniable dynamite in his hands, his record is no longer, as strongman legend, Eddie Hall stepped up to the plate and shattered it.

The fearsome athlete landed with a force of 208,901, cementing his place as the most powerful puncher on planet Earth.

‘The Beast’ recently joined Michael Bisping for a discussion about the achievement.

In an interview uploaded to the former UFC middleweight champion’s YouTube channel, Hall said: “So, I did the Powerkube thing at the UFC, where you punch the cube. So, I’ve got the highest score on that right now. It’s something like 210,000 (official score – 208,901).

“Alex Pereira had the record for ages, he had 190,000, and then I came along and smashed it, so I was quite proud of myself.

“But then another gentleman brought a cube and put it against a brick wall. I hit it as hard as I could, and I got 203 kilos, that was measured in kilos. So, that punch could generate 203 kilos on the pads at one time.

“I don’t know if I’d quite fancy 203 kilos in one spot on my face just for my like a splat.”

This prompted Bisping to make a joke about Hall’s two vs one MMA fight with the Neffati brothers.

The UFC icon chuckled: “I’m just thinking of those poor 65 kilos b***ards that you cracked in the face.”

Hall laughed along before later explaining why anyone critiquing his record isn’t quite aware of just how hard he hits.

The 36-year-old asserted: “That cube is on the wall, and the thing is everyone is like, ‘Alex Pereira only hit it once’. I’m telling you now, I’ve been in that center, and they queue up all f***ing day hitting that f***ing thing.

“So, the fact that I just walked in smashed it a few times and hit 210, I was like, ‘F**k you guys’, They can stand there all day and try and beat it and they won’t f***ing get it’.”

Eddie Hall distances himself from Tyron Woodley as he sets sights on massive MMA fight

Having already conquered the world of strongman, Hall is pursuing major fights in MMA.

With monstrous star power, he’s been linked to former UFC welterweight world champion Tyron Woodley.

However, while a match-up with ‘The Chosen One’ would intrigue some fans, Hall is instead interested in a different opponent.

And the man in question has far more experience inside the cage than Hall does.
