‘There’s a dark side to Jon Jones’… Dana White reveals the moment the UFC heavyweight champion showed how terrifying he can truly be

Dana White claims Jon Jones has a ‘dark side’ as he goes in-depth on the moment when the MMA legend showed how scary he really is.

The UFC President is renowned for backing the promotion’s heavyweight champion, regularly insisting that he’s the ‘Greatest of all time’.

Dana White is adamant that Jon Jones has a ‘dark side’

On November 16, at UFC 309 inside Madison Square Garden in New York, USA, Jon Jones will attempt to make the first defense of his heavyweight championship against Stipe Miocic.

But while, for many, a victory would cement the 37-year-old’s status as the number one in the division, for Dana White, he’s already earned this accolade.

The UFC CEO is famed for talking positively about ‘Bones’, but during one particular interview, he elaborated on a moment where the fighter really showed off his intimidating nature.

During an interview with Club Shay Shay, he said: “There is a dark side to Jon Jones. Look at when him and [Daniel] Cormier were in that interview, and they thought the cameras were off, and they start talking to each other back-and-forth.”

Huge claim: ‘Conor McGregor was perhaps the greatest fighter who’s ever done this’

White continued: “Cormier is like, ‘You’re a piece of s**t, I’d spit in your face right now. Jon Jones is like, ‘I’d kill you. You know I’d kill you, right?”

Probing further, host, Shannon Sharpe, asked White whether he’s ever concerned about what the UFC legend might do during a face-off, which prompted his guest to recall another story.

The promoter reminisced: “The MGM Grand lobby, people are checking into their hotel, and we’re doing the weigh-ins in the lobby. Him and Cormier, Jon Jones goes after him.

“They get close, and Cormier pushes him back, and Jones goes after him-big fist fight right in the lobby of the MGM Grand. Jon Jones is the baddest dude to ever do it.”

Dana White fumes at the ‘morons’ dictating the UFC rankings

In recent times, White hasn’t held back on expressing his infuriation with the UFC rankings, most notably claiming that anyone not placing Jones at the top of the pound-for-pound list, ‘knows nothing’ about fighting.

And now it seems the entrepreneur has struck again, branding the journalists involved, as ‘morons’.

However, this time, it’s not the heavyweight champion he’s standing up for.
