Following the success of Conor McGregor’s Road House remake on Amazon Prime Video earlier this year, Netflix is now set to enter the MMA TV game with a brand new drama set to debut worldwide next month.
The new series is a predominantly French-language story about a young fighter rising through the ranks to become a global superstar; with the upcoming drama set to feature a whole host of familiar faces.

Trailer for new MMA TV show with GSP, Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane debuts online
Late last night, Netflix finally released the official trailer for their upcoming Mixed Martial Arts TV drama, The Cage, which is scheduled to debut via the streaming giant this November.
As per Netflix, the official synopsis for The Cage reads: “Dreaming of going pro, a young fighter struggles to be seen until an unexpected combat lands him a shot at the big time — and a brutal rival.”
The show will feature rising actor Melvin Boomer (Reign Supreme) in the leading role with the streaming giant citing “real-life MMA legends” who will star in this series created by Franck Gastambide.
Those ‘MMA legends’ include former UFC double champion Georges St-Pierre, former interim heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane, and the man who last bested ‘Bon Gamin’ in the octagon, current heavyweight king Jon Jones.
It’s unclear how much screentime GSP, Gane and Jones will get but if the official trailer is anything to go by, there’ll be plenty of speaking lines for each of the three UFC icons.
In fact, there are a whole host of MMA stars also set to make their professional acting debuts in The Cage including Morgan Charriere (20-10-1), Salahdine Parnasse (19-2), Abdoul Abdouraguimov (18-1), Taylor Lapilus (21-4), and Ramzan Jembiev (5-2).
Those MMA fighters will be joined by boxers Souleymane Cissokho (17-0) and Bilal Jkitou (19-2), as well as kickboxing veterans Anissa Meksen (103-6) and Samy Sana (135-15-2).
What date and time will ‘The Cage’ release around the world on Netflix?
