Conor McGregor snatches mic from Dave Feldman and makes unprecedented announcement after epic BKFC Spain main event

Conor McGregor was in a very good mood after BKFC Spain on Saturday night.

The former dual-weight UFC champion sat in the front row to watch the bare-knuckle boxing promotion he is a part-owner of make its Spanish debut in the Marbella Arena.

McGregor was blown away by Franco Tenaglia and Tony Soto, who battled each other for five rounds with the BKFC lightweight title on the line.

Ultimately, Tenaglia walked away with a majority decision victory but ‘Notorious’ ensured that both men felt like winners after their epic contest.

Conor McGregor gives BKFC Spain fighters double pay

Post-fight, McGregor’s business partner, Dave Feldman, was in the middle of giving a speech about introducing bonuses for the first time in company history.

However, the Irishman felt that Tenaglia and Soto deserved much more than a bonus, so he snatched the mic from Feldman to declare that both men would get their purses doubled.

“No, no, no, no,” McGregor said when Feldman began talking about giving the BKFC Spain main event fighters a bonus for their performances.

He added: “Listen, we are going to do bonuses, yes, for both these gentlemen as well as a multitude of other people that fought on this card.

“What we are going to do for these gentlemen, as well as a bonus, is double their purse. They are getting double pay! That’s damn straight!

“Well done gentlemen, you are getting double pay and bonuses.

“Thank you for your service.”

Everyone in the arena cheered as the two fighters embraced each other after hearing that their sacrifices in the ring had earned them a life-changing payday.

Dave Feldman wants Conor McGregor to rematch Floyd Mayweather in BKFC

Ahead of BKFC Spain, McGregor revealed that ‘there’s conversations ongoing’ with Floyd Mayweather about a potential redo of their 2017 boxing bout.

The UFC legend claimed he wants the rematch to take place at a higher weight and be scheduled for fewer rounds after previously sucking down to 153lbs for his 12-round contest with Mayweather.

Feldman wants him to change one more rule by taking off the boxing gloves and fighting ‘Money’ bare-knuckle.

The BKFC boss told BloodyElbow.com: “Someone said to me, ‘What do you think about Manny Pacquiao fighting Floyd Mayweather again in boxing?’

“They were asking me for some help, and I said, ‘I’d love to see Floyd Mayweather versus Conor McGregor in bare-knuckle because I think it’s a whole different fight, with the clinching that you can do and getting hit with the knuckles’.

“We just think it’s a different world. So, it is a different sport-it’s different types of pain. It’s not necessarily that you’re getting hit and you’re getting flashes and concussed, but you get hit on the cheekbone and you’re like, ‘Oh, man, that hurt’.

“So, it really just depends on who is able to withstand that kind of stuff.”
