Earlier this week, it was announced that UFC star Michael ‘Venom’ Page’s return to action has been booked as he is scheduled to step into the world of grappling.
Since signing with the UFC at the start of the year, Michael ‘Venom’ Page has had a mix of a journey after beating Kevin Holland in his UFC debut but then coming up short against the undefeated Irishman, Ian Machado Garry.
Despite being 1-1 in the promotion, the sensational striker still sits in the top 15 of the welterweight rankings and will be looking for another big fight when he steps back into the Octagon.

Michael ‘Venom’ Page’s return to competition features a bizarre matchup
With his last fight under the UFC banner having come at UFC 303 this past June, the 37-year-old is keen to return to action but wants to take himself out of his comfort zone.
He is doing so by taking on the former UFC interim welterweight champion, Carlos Condit, in a grappling match at Polaris 30, scheduled for November 2 at Fairfield Halls in London.
“What you saying, MVP can’t grapple? MVP can’t wrestle, MVP can’t do Jits’. He’s got no ground game, say no more,” Page joked in a video on his Instagram.
However, Page’s return to competition has became even more bizarre as Polaris announced in an official press release, that British politician, Will Stone, who is MP for Swindon North.
Stone is set to take on Matt Inman who is a well established figure in the UK martial arts scene and has previously trained with UFC star, Conor McGregor.
Despite balancing his extremely important role in British Parliament, Stone has been pursuing his passion of Jiu-Jitsu and is looking forward to showcasing his abilities on the mat.
Not only that, but the MP has pledged to donate his entire fight purse to the Kelly Foundation, a charity close to his heart that supports mental health initiatives across the UK.

Who Michael ‘Venom’ Page may fight in his UFC return
Although fans will be pleased to see ‘Venom’ Page return back to action, they will be chomping at the bit to see him strap up the UFC gloves again.
The Londoner has previously expressed his desire to fight former champion, Leon Edwards, in an all British affair, however, because of the discrepancy in the rankings, that fight is unlikely to happen next.
Fans has salivated over a possible matchup between him and Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson, despite both fighters pouring hot water on it and explaining why it wouldn’t be as exciting as the fans anticipate.
Despiite that, with Thompson now being ranked 11th in the division and coming off the back of two losses, now may be the perfect time to give the fans the fight they desire.
