As Dana White announces several new fighters have been signed to the promotion via the Contender Series, the UFC has reportedly pulled the plug on six of their athletes.
Of those six athletes who have reportedly been removed from the UFC roster, two of them had actually competed just a few weeks ago at the superb Fight Night event in Paris.

UFC Roster Tracker cites six fighters have been let go by the promotion
If you are a UFC fan on X (aka Twitter), we’d highly recommend giving the ‘UFC Roster Tracker’ page a follow; an account that frequently shares information regarding the comings and goings of UFC athletes.
After three major removals from the roster last week, which included former title challenger Ovince Saint Preux, the page has reported today that another six fighters have faced the axe – two of whom competed just two weeks ago at UFC Fight Night: Paris.
Those two athletes are Mexican flyweight Victor Altamirano and South Korean light heavyweight Da Woon Jung – both fighters suffered unanimous decision losses in France on September 28.
Also allegedly removed from the roster is Brazilian lightweight Kaynan Kruschewsky, a member of the surging Fighting Nerds team who lost his most recent bout via UD to Kurt Holobaugh back in July 2024.
Then we have three American fighters who have reportedly been cut by the promotion.
Strawweight Brianna ‘The Bull’ Fortino, who lost her last bout to Tecia Pennington back in June 2020, Victoria ‘Fury’ Leonardo, who was viciously knocked out by Cong Wang this past August, and Danyelle Wolf, who lost her last bout to Norma Dumont in September 2022.
All in all, it’s understandable why the organization has chosen to let them go as none of the six fighters cut by the UFC in this most recent round of updates had winning records in the promotion.
- Victor Altamirano: 2-4 in the UFC, 12-5 as a professional
- Da Woon Jung: 4-4-1 in the UFC, 15-6-1 as a professional
- Kaynan Kruschewsky: 0-2 in the UFC, 15-3 as a professional
- Brianna Fortino: 1-1 in the UFC, 9-3 as a professional
- Victoria Leonard: 1-4 in the UFC, 9-6 as a professional
- Danyelle Wolf: 0-1 in the UFC, 1-1 as a professional
Six out, four in after another round of Dana White’s Contender Series
The updates from the UFC Roster Tracker came just a few hours after Dana White announced four new additions to the promotion, following another successful night of action on the Contender Series.
The headlines from DWCS were dominated by Russian Artem Vakhitov, the last man to beat UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira in GLORY kickboxing – he won via a first-round knockout.
Despite earning the knockout win, it would actually be Pereira himself who would convince Dana White to offer Vakhitov a contract.
Also joining the UFC is 7-0 American lightweight Kody Steele (R2 KO), 9-0 Portuguese heavyweight Mario Pinto (R1 KO), and 11-1 German welterweight Islam Dulatov (R1 KO).
Dana White’s Contender Series wraps up its eighth season next week.
