In a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Johnson said: “At the time, I never knew who my father was. And so, my mom, probably ashamed of what happened between [her and] my dad, she would not give me any information.
“Eventually, I got his social security number; I gave it to a friend who finds people around the world, Bloodhounds. I found out every single thing about him, and I had the phone.
“I was like ‘s**t’, I’m 30-years-old, I have two children, I’m about to call this man I’ve never met before in my life, ‘What the f**k am I about to say to him’?
“I called him, I said, ‘Hey, how’s it going? This might sound weird, I’m your son’. He goes, ‘Huh, okay’.
“I go ‘Does a name Karen Crowe’ which is my mom’s name, ‘Does that ring a bell’? He goes, ‘I can’t say that it does’. I’m like, oh f**k, he doesn’t remember my mom.
“I’m like, ‘Ok, well I’m your son’. So, I’m like, ‘Oh s**t’, I’m sweating. I’m 30-years-old, going through something new.
“So he goes, ‘Ok, you’re my son’. He always knew about me, but not really. I was like, ‘I want nothing from you. I want no money, I don’t need nothing. All I wanna know is what happened’. Because I don’t know what happened.
“He goes, ‘Do you want the real version or do you want the fake version’? I’m like, ‘I’m a grown a** man with two kids, I don’t need nothing, what happened’?
“He told me everything, I’m like ‘Alright, I appreciate you being honest’. He goes, ‘So, what about you’? I was like, ‘Just Google me and call me back’.”
