One of the year’s most controversial comeback fights is just weeks away.
The 58-year-old former undisputed heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson is set to face influencer boxer Jake Paul, who is 31 years his junior, at AT&T Stadium in Texas on November 15.
Tyson will be competing in a professional bout for the first time since he quit in the sixth round of his fight against journeyman Kevin McBride in 2005.
Some people think he’s capable of rolling back the years to score an almighty upset – but many others are concerned that he could get seriously hurt when he fights Jake Paul.

Butterbean is worried for Mike Tyson after a recent run-in
Butterbean – real name Eric Esch – recently bumped into ‘Iron Mike’ and was left seriously concerned about the shape he is in ahead of his ring return.
The boxing legend is also worried about Tyson’s ability to take shots and claimed that despite being the same age as him he could KO Paul’s next opponent.
“I saw Mike about three weeks ago, and he looked pregnant,” Butterbean told AL.com.
“I would knock him out. He has no chin.
“The problem with those who have lost to Tyson is they didn’t challenge him.”
Butterbean has lost 200lbs and is ready to return to boxing
Even at the peak of his career, Butterbean was always known for carrying extra fat, but his weight problem became potentially lethal in 2020.
The 58-year-old reached 515lbs before deciding to make a change and completing a remarkable body transformation that saw him lose over 200lbs.
Now he’s fighting fit and ready to test his new physique in the ring.
“I went through a stage where I was looking at the end of my life – not that I was going to kill myself,” he told The Sun in June 2022.
“But in my life, I was getting down, I was way overweight and just feeling down. I didn’t know if I had a couple of years to live or not.
“I took a challenge to accept a docuseries or a reality show with Diamond Dallas Page and I’ve been here the past four months.
“And it’s given me more energy and life since I was fighting regularly. But now, I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been in my life.”
Butterbean has previously issued callouts to Paul and Tyson.
So, perhaps he’ll face the winner of their fight at some point in 2025.
