Since leaving the UFC in 2020, Paige VanZant has ventured into several different combat sports, with her latest outing coming in Dana White’s Power Slap.
’12-Gauge’ Paige was once considered the future of women’s MMA, but after losing to Amanda Ribas in 2020, she decided to take her career in a different direction.
Although her UFC career wasn’t entirely considered a success, Paige VanZant has made a big name of herself since leaving the promotion, venturing into boxing, pro wrestling, bare-knuckle boxing, and even most recently, slap fighting.

Paige VanZant reveals the one thing she misses about being a UFC fighter
The 30-year-old has competed twice with the growing combat sports promotion, BKFC, which is now co-owned by Conor McGregor, losing both of her fights under the BKFC banner.
VanZant then put the gloves back on and took her talents to Misfits Boxing where she fought against the influencer, Elle Brooke, where they fought to a split draw.
Earlier this year, ’12-Gauge’ somewhat returned to the UFC when she competed in Dana White’s Power Slap, beating Christine Wolmarans via a decision.
During a Q&A on her Instagram this past Wednesday, VanZant revealed the one thing she misses the most about being under contract with the UFC.
“I guess just being in the UFC just being a part of that world and the roster, incredible people, the machine that the UFC is, it’s definitely extremely special, for sure, I loved every second I was in the UFC,” VanZant admitted.
Paige VanZant teases at an upcoming announcement as she picks her favorite combat sport
Although she has been competing in several different combat sports, VanZant has explained which her favorite has been to compete in as she has teased some upcoming news regarding her next venture.
“I definitely obviously feel the most accomplished in MMA and I do believe that is my favorite. Bare-knuckle, wrestling, and power slap they’re all incredibly fun and at this point in life I’m just excited that I still get to compete in pretty much whatever I want to do.
“I’ve been so blessed in life. Stay tuned because you never know what’s around the corner,” VanZant hinted.
