This past Saturday, the UFC hosted one of the biggest combat sports events ever from the Sphere in Las Vegas, and following the spectacle, CEO Dana White revealed that they were very close to hosting another event that would have been monumental.
The UFC continues to make history in the sporting world and this past Saturday, they became the first organization to host a sports event in the Sphere as UFC 306 took place in the unique venue.

Dana White reveals talks took place to host Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg at the Colosseum
Although this event was by far the most unique sporting event ever, UFC CEO Dana White revealed after the matter, that the UFC has been in talks to host another utterly monumental event.
For several years now, there have been serious talks about a fight taking place between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, and White made it clear from the get-go that if it was to happen, he wanted to be part of it.
For a while, it seemed that a fight between the two multi-billionaires would actually come to fruition but talks seemed to simmer down and it never became a reality.
Despite that, following the hugely successful UFC 306 event this past weekend, White told the media that he was in ‘legitimate’ talks with the Colosseum in Rome, Italy, to host a mega event between Musk and Zuckerberg.
“The great thing about this business that I love, and like, me wanting to do the Sphere, some things will pop up that you didn’t expect to happen and I jump on them when they pop up,” White began to explain in the post-fight press conference.
“It’s probably a bad example but at one point I was talking about Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg so any crazy sh*t that pops up in front of me, and I was legit negotiating with the Colosseum in Italy to do that fight, legitimately in negotiations with them and they don’t let anything happen over there.
“And this was gonna be in the actual Colosseum so… When things pop up, I’m the first guy to jump on it and try to make it happen,” White continued.
Musk vs Zuckerberg now unlikely following negotiations
The combat feud between Musk and Zuckerberg seems to have come to an end with an MMA fight between them seemingly unlikely at this point.
With the Meta owner having relatively vast experience in Jiu-Jitsu, a fight between him and Musk always seemed unlikely because of that.
Zuckerberg was in attendance for UFC 300 earlier this year and even went backstage to meet with fighters before they made their walk.
