Conor McGregor indicates he wants to become the Irish President
Conor McGregor is one of the most successful Irish athletes of all time, making millions with his performances inside the octagon.
He’s since transitioned into the business world, with brands like Proper Twelve Irish Whiskey and Forged Irish Stout. In addition, ‘The Notorious’ has also made waves in the movie scene, recently starring in Roadhouse.
And now, McGregor is seemingly open to the possibility of segueing into politics, with an effort to become the Irish President.
In a recent Twitter post, the fighter opened up about some of the ideas he’d wish to implement if he were to take the reins of the European nation.

He posted: “As President, I hold the power to summon the Dáil as well as dissolve it. So, as I said before, I would have all the answers the people of Ireland seek from these thieves of the working man, these disrupters of the family unit, these destructors of small businesses, and on and on and on!
“These charlatans in their positions of power would be summoned to answer to the people of Ireland, and I would have it done by day end. Or I would be left with no choice but to dissolve the Dáil entirely. Stop the train until the people of Ireland deserve the answers they seek. Point blank.
“This would be my power as President. I know very well, Ireland needs an active President employed wholly by the people of Ireland. It is me. I am the only logical choice. 2025 is upcoming…”

It remains to be seen whether McGregor will actually make a run for Presidency, and what impact that would have on a potential return to the UFC.
Regardless, throughout his time in mixed martial arts, he’s certainly proved he has the charisma to make the public listen to him.
There’s a genuine case that he’s the greatest talker of all time, with perhaps only Chael Sonnen rivaling him in this department.
So, with that considered, what happened when the two sporting titans met on stage for an almighty war of words?
