Johnny Walker backflips off a boat to celebrate Valter Walker victory at UFC 305
On Saturday evening, Valter Walker beat Junior Tafa in an interesting collision inside the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.
Showcasing his sublime Brazilian jiu-jitsu skills, the victor locked in a heel hook with just four seconds left of the opening round.
With the lock unsurprisingly causing his opponent a great deal of discomfort, he released a shriek, prompting referee, Steve Perceval, to dive in and bring a halt to the action.
An enraged Tafa protested, claiming he never tapped. However, the Unified Rules of MMA define a verbal submission as “when a contestant verbally announces to the referee that he or she does not wish to continue; or makes audible sounds such as screams indicating pain or discomfort.”

Therefore, the New Zealander fit into this category.
But while there was some confusion among fans, Johnny Walker felt nothing other than complete euphoria. The charismatic brawler jumped for joy when the referee waved off the contest, climbing onto the side of a yacht before executing a perfect backflip into the water below.
Footage posted on the fighter’s Twitter indicated that he was enjoying a boat party in the company of his nearest and dearest, who seemed to be indulging in a plethora of sweet treats.
Junior Tafa slaps Valter Walker
While Walker was soaring through the air and into the ocean, his brother was in the middle of a scuffle with his rival inside the cage.
Furious with the decision to finish the fight, Tafa began mouthing off before eventually slapping the man who’d dealt him the defeat.
As the situation escalated, security had no choice but to intervene and prevent the two fighters from potentially exchanging punches.
The commotion didn’t seem to particularly throw Walker off his game, with the victor cutting a WWE-esque promo in his post-fight interview.
