A former UFC champion has claimed that while he doesn’t believe Khalil Rountree has what it takes to beat Alex Pereira, he could be the man to put ‘Poatan’ in his place himself.
The light heavyweight King will defend his belt against ‘The War Horse’ on October 5 at the Delta Center In Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

However, Jiri Prochazka doesn’t believe the American has what it takes to relieve ‘Poatan’ of the belt.
This week, the Czech legend has been enjoying UFC 305 fight week in Perth, Australia.
Aside from visiting the zoo to meet the local wombats, Prochazka has been indulging in his media duties, including a Q&A with the fans.

However, when he was asked about Rountree’s chances in the fight with Pereira, he wasn’t too hopeful.
The former champion said: “Ok, it’s a fight. I really don’t understand the chance for [Khalil] Rountree.”
Regardless of everyone dismissing him, the Californian will undoubtedly be working hard with his coaches to craft the perfect game plan to shock the world.
But should he fail, Prochazka will be waiting in the wings for his shot at redemption.

While he has already lost to Pereira twice, the former King of the light heavyweights is willing to do whatever it takes to get another dance with his rival.
Having previously explained that he had to deal with both a staph infection and a back injury during the build-up to the rematch, the 31-year-old believes when fully fit, he has the minerals to win back his belt.
During the Q&A, he added: “I still keep my mind on Alex Pereira because I believe I can beat him. I believe in that.
“My honor is telling me to stay at light heavyweight, fight another guy, win the next fight and the next fight, take a title, and show my best. Last time, I think I showed my worst performance in my life.”
