Ahead of their highly anticipated main event at UFC 305 in Perth, Western Australia this coming Saturday, Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis took part in a pre-fight press conference, which ended in tears.
The build-up to the UFC 305 main event between Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya has been extremely intense from the beginning and shows no signs of letting up just a day out from the anticipated fight.
The middleweight champion, ‘Stillknocks’ has made it clear ahead of this fight that he believes ‘The Last Stylebender’ should’ve retired and that he doesn’t have enough fire to outshine him at UFC 305, but at the pre-fight press conference, Adesanya showcased some of his fire.

Things get heated between Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 305 pre-fight presser
Prior to the huge middleweight title fight on Saturday night, the two 185lbers took part in a pre-fight press conference, along with some other main card fighters.
Things started hot between Adesanya and Du Plessis as they traded a few jabs, whilst still keeping things relatively cordial.
Despite that, the South African made a comment to the 35-year-old Nigerian after he outlined his plans to return to Africa following the fight, which resulted in a very heated exchange between the two.
“On Tuesday I’m going back to Nigeria, I think Friday I’m going to South Africa and then the next week I’m going back to New Zealand. I am a child of the Earth and when I take his belt, I’m taking it everywhere with me,” Adesanya outlined at the pre-fight presser.
Responding to Adesanya’s plans, Du Plessis said: “Are you taking the servants with you when you’re going back?”
The champion’s comment hit a nerve with Adesanya who replied: “What the f*** are you talking about? Shut the f*** up, you don’t know anything about my story, you have no idea who the f*** I am.
“My father and myself had to wake up at 4 am and clean the banks while my Mom studied to be a nurse, you don’t know my f****** story, don’t f****** speak on my story if you don’t know my story. I will show you who you are on Sunday so shut the f*** up,” Adesanya angrily replied.
Israel Adesanya breaks down in tears following comment made by Du Plessis
A few minutes went by after their heated exchange, and then when the former champion was asked another question he broke down in tears and explained why he continues to compete.
“He touched a subject there because I do this for my family,” Adesanya said as he began to shed a tear. “I do this for the people I love and how I will fight for you forever,” he said whilst pointing at his mother and father.
“Watch this, look, I’m a f****** human being I am a man, I can cry and whoop your ass at the same time. I feel the love from the crowd, first time I fought here (UFC) 221, that was February 2018, that was me making my dream come true, Sunday, I’m going to kill your dreams b****, I’m gonna f****** kill your dreams,” Adesanya told Du Plessis.
Earlier this week, ‘Stillknocks’ claimed that Adesanya is in his own head, and he will likely take confidence from Adesanya showing emotion at the press conference, but he could’ve accidentally poked the bear.
