Paddy Pimblett showcases huge weight gain after UFC 304

On July 27, Paddy Pimblett claimed the greatest scalp of his career, defeating King Green to prove he has the minerals to compete at the top of the lightweight division.

Therefore, it comes as no surprise that in the aftermath of his biggest moment, he hit the puddings hard, eating all the sweet treats he could get his hands on.

After a fortnight of enjoying himself, Pimblett returned to the gym, with a slightly chubbier face than fans are used to seeing.

During a video published on his YouTube channel, he said: “I’ll probably start getting called a fat ba**ard by everyone. We were eating all sorts. When I don’t train, I put weight on.”

A teammate of his, confirmed: “Big cheeks is back. We were having a meal, two desserts, and then ice cream on the way home.”

Getting stuck right back into sparring, the Scouser revealed that people online have noticed the change in his body, but he’s personally pleased that he’s managed to maintain his six-pack

He said: “Someone commented, ‘even his wraps have sweets on’. I’ve still got abs, look. All to my face, though.”

However, he was angered by an assessment that one of his detractors posted online.

Pimblett raged: “Know what did my head in the other day? Someone called me a weight bully. Are you mad? Imagine me fighting Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman and that—they’re f***ing massive.”

At this point, the 29-year-old jumped on the scales, and discovered, he’s put on 42 pounds, weighing in at 89.8kg (197lbs).

He beamed: “Let’s jump on these scales and see how fat I am. Boom. I’ve only got 19kg to lose to make weight.”

He concluded with a call-out to the reigning 155-pound champion, asserting: “Islam Makhachev, we’re coming, brother.”

Sean O’Malley thinks Paddy Pimblett can become a UFC champion

While some may scoff at the Scouser calling out the Russian legend, Sean O’Malley thinks he’s heading in the right direction of a UFC title fight.

The bantamweight King insists that he could be just two wins away from competing for the most prestigious title in the sport.

And not only, does ‘Suga’ think he’s capable of securing a championship bout, but insists he’s got the talent to emerge victorious.

In a recent interview, the American revealed why he’s got so much faith in Pimblett.
