Conor McGregor has turned his attention to world champion boxer, Canelo Alvarez, in his latest online rant which has since been deleted.
Conor McGregor‘s anticipated UFC comeback has still yet to be made official by the promotion, however, rumors continue to circulate that it will take place at UFC 310 in December.
The Irishman continues to share words online with his likely opponent, Michael Chandler, and earlier this week, the former two-weight world champion even threatened to swap him out for a new opponent.
At one point, McGregor and Chandler were both campaigning for their fight to be re-scheduled to take place at UFC 306, which is hosted at the Sphere on September 14, but the UFC opted against that.

Conor McGregor slams ‘cornflake’ Canelo Alvarez in bizarre rant
UFC 306, though, will clash with a Premier Boxing Champions event which is headlined by Mexican super middleweight champion, Canelo Alvarez, who will defend his WBA, WBC, and WBO titles against Edgar Berlanga.
UFC CEO Dana White anticipated that this would be the case as both events take place on Mexican Independence Day weekend, and previously Canelo has fought on the historic day.
Despite the sheer magnitude of the UFC’s event, White slammed the PBC for their ‘disrespect’ in booking their event on the same date as UFC 306.
“Canelo’s one of those guys that I respect and hey, good on (PBC’s Al) Haymon. Haymon snatched that date right away from me. The guys at MGM have done nothing but f****** disrespect me and the UFC for 20 years. It is what it is. Here we go,” White told ESPN.
The UFC boss recently admitted that the company has already spent over $15m on their Sphere event, and he has labeled it as ‘a love letter to the Mexican people’, and it will be sponsored by Riyadh Season.
Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority in Saudi Arabia, Turki Alalshikh came out this past Wednesday to reveal that he ‘disregarded’ Alvarez’s upcoming fight and instead will sponsor the UFC event.
Backing up Turki Alalshikh, ‘The Notorious’ McGregor took the chance to swipe at Canelo, calling him a ‘cornflake’ and downplaying his ability to sell PPV’s.
“Canelo is a cornflake. He has about 300k buys in him. He does not generate nothing near what he seeks to be paid. UFC NOCHE is going to run them from the strip. Sheik Turki was right moving on. CANELO DOESN’T SELL,” McGregor stated on X in a now-deleted post.
UFC 306 full card announced with historic title fight included
Already this year, the UFC has put on several blockbuster events, including the milestone UFC 300 event, and the 12th annual International Fight Week event, UFC 303, which was originally supposed to be headlined by McGregor.
UFC 306, despite it likely not breaking many records, will undoubtedly perform well in terms of PPV’s, due to the uniqueness of the event.
In the main event, arguably their second biggest current star, Sean O’Malley, defends his bantamweight title in a highly anticipated matchup against Merab Dvalishvili.
In the co-main event, the first-ever UFC women’s trilogy fight will take place, as Mexico’s own Alexa Grasso looks to put her rivalry with Valentina Shevchenko to bed.
Also on the card is a re-scheduled featherweight bout between soaring contender, Diego Lopes and former title challenger, Brian Ortega.
