Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler both confirmed that their anticipated fight would finally take place in December at UFC 310, but ‘Iron’ has now admitted it may never happen as McGregor threatens to swap him out for ‘the real BMF’.
The saga between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler continues to roar on and will likely do so right up until they are finally locked in the cage together.
The two have both been hinting that the fight will finally take place in December at UFC 310, after the Irishman withdrew from their initial June 29 date due to a broken toe, but things now seem to have hit another roadblock.

Conor McGregor tweets in anger after Donald Trump reveals his favorite fighter
Bizarrely, last night on the streaming platform KICK, popular streamer Adin Ross, who has been in attendance for several UFC events, interviewed Donald Trump.
During the interview, Ross asked Trump who his favorite UFC fighter of all time is, to which Trump replied that it is Khabib Nurmagomedov.
This didn’t sit well with ‘The Notorious’ who went off on a distasteful rant on X, which has now been deleted, about Nurmagomedov and his family.
“Campaign ending decision. A smelly fat mountain monkey from the inbred mountains of Dagestan is your favorite UFC (AMERICAN COMPANY) fighter? Wow. Abysmal… To pick a retired inbred fighter from Dagestan Russia who has 3 main events only to his name is astounding,” McGregor continued.

Michael Chandler jumps to the defense of Trump in bizarre exchange
In an attempt to defend Donald Trump, Chandler chimed in by mocking McGregor’s weekend antics.
‘The Notorious’ once again attended a BKFC event, as the promotion landed in Sturgis, South Dakota. The co-owner entered the ring at the start of the event and chugged a can of Forged Irish Stout in front of the raucous crowd, which didn’t give Chandler much hope.
“Stop it, @TheNotoriousMMA, if you had half the balls that DT had you would have shown up June 29th. Instead you’re normal walking, beer chuggin’ Austin 3:16 style at a local fight show/motorcycle rally in South Dakota…” Chandler stated.
McGregor went on to claim that Trump likely doesn’t know who the 38-year-old former Bellator champion is, labeling him a ‘broke begging arsewipe’.
“He does, @TheNotoriousMMA. But that’s neither here nor there. Here’s the deal – I beat your ass in December… I bet my entire career on it. End the year back flipping over your lifeless body on the canvas,” Chandler predicted.
Conor McGregor threatens to swap out Chandler and reveals camp plans
Responding to Chandler’s hopeful prediction, McGregor revealed his plans for his upcoming camp and gave a ‘Mystic Mac’ prediction of his own.
“And Yes, I look forward to December! It was going to be big bear originally for my camp but now it will be Colorado Springs instead! Better facilities. Where the US Olympic athletes train! I arrive summer end.
“I will be ready for what you bring and yes you will be doing backflips but it will be from the speed and accuracy of my backhand that will be making you flip. I’m going to flip you like a pancake,” he claimed.
Big Bear has become a popular camp destination amongst fighters because of its high altitude, which helps prepare their cardio.
Laughing off the former lightweight champion’s prediction, Chandler admitted maybe it’s finally time to accept that the fight won’t happen.
“Never mind guys… I think it’s time I finally admit the fight is off. He’s still in stage 2 of the 7 of grief pertaining to his career being over. Figured he’d be closer to 5 by now. Godspeed,” Chandler said.
McGregor is never short of potential opponents, though, with him still being the biggest name in combat sports, despite having not fought since 2021. The 36-year-old took Chandler’s comments literally and threatened to swap him out for ‘the real BMF’, Max Holloway.
“? lol ok lil bro. Swapped out handy. @BlessedMMA what you at December? The real BMF, you know.”
