Dana White has expressed his frustration with Jon Jones not being ranked atop the official UFC pound-for-pound list.
The President of the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization has made no secret of his admiration for ‘Bones’, often referring to the two-weight world champion as the greatest of all time.

Dana White is furious that Jon Jones is listed at #3 in the UFC pound-for-pound rankings
With the UFC home to the best fighters walking the face of the Earth, there are a plethora of formidable champions in the pound-for-pound rankings.
Blessed with remarkable grappling skills and unrivaled creativity, Jon Jones has earned his position on the list.
The gifted athlete is ranked higher than a plethora of title-holders, including Ilia Topuria and Dricus Du Plessis. However, he’s not quite at the top of the pyramid, with two competitors pipping him to the post.
Having proven his skills in abundance, Islam Makhachev has lit up the sport, cementing his place as the best fighter on the planet, while Alex Pereira has landed an array of explosive finishes to solidify his status as pound-for-pound number two.

However, while the Russian and Brazilian are undeniably brilliant operators, Dana White is adamant that nobody is in the same realm as the heavyweight King.
The UFC President told Kevin Iole: “Jon Jones is ranked number three pound-for-pound in the world. The most f***ing ridiculous, embarrassing, stupid, know-nothing about f***ing fighting ranking of all time.
“Jon Jones is the number one pound-for-pound fighter in the world, period, end of story. To have anybody above Jon Jones right now, just goes to show that you know absolutely f***ing nothing.”
He continued: “It’s undebatable. Anybody who even tries to debate this with me, you’re just hating on Jon Jones and you don’t like him as a person. These are f***ing facts.
“It’s not like me and Jon Jones have this unbelievable relationship. What I’m saying about Jon Jones is undebatable. The baddest dude to ever walk the face of the Earth in combat sports.”
Many will look at the body of work Jones has put together and completely agree with the businessman’s views. However, others will reflect on his arguable loss to Dominick Reyes and believe that Makachev is the rightful number one. Regardless, the pound-for-pound rankings always make for an interesting topic of conversation.
Dana White gives an update on Jon Jones vs Stipe Miocic
With Jones’ status as the number one heavyweight up for debate, due to the emergence of Tom Aspinall, White has given the world some news on when the mixed martial artist will return to action.
While it won’t be against the Brit, the UFC President is hopeful that the 37-year-old will step into the cage with Stipe Miocic in the not-too-distant future.
Despite not being the fight the fans necessarily crave, the match-up undeniably pits two of the greatest to ever do it against one another in a clash that has the potential to excite.
White has confirmed the month he hopes to finalize the collision for. And it could take place at an iconic venue.
